TROLLS IN OUR RANKED GAMES

today in my promos we had a troll on our team. this player took master yi for adc. which is fine and dandy as long as he actually plays to the best of his ability and at least tries to play, however. this master yi decided it was a troll game. he constantly was in mid and top lane takeing cs and ex. inting dancing on players who were actually trying to play and have a good ranked game. he built full tank went zero and nine was never in a team fight and when he was he just trolled team and ether ran from fight or just outright inted. \

i dont know about u guys. But i am truly at my breaking point with trolls in my ranked games. I amm actually considering not even playing ranked at all for the simple fact that im tired of trying my hardest to have a good game and we get players that do things like this.

I am asking the community of LOL to come together and petition RIOT GAMES to start punishing players that behave this way in our ranked games. in cases its obvious the player was truly trolling in our ranked games ( not just having a bad game or played something a little off meta) THE ACCOUNT SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY BANNED! this way at the very least the player has to take the time to make a lvl 30 account to play in ranked games. i know it wont stop it completely, but the end results will be better then they are now.

maybe rito can even implement a watch list if an ip address has an overwhelming number of accouint banns for this reason myabe they could shut the address out from LOL for a time.

I do agree with you, but like with other people who make threads like this you dont actually list what needs to be done. We have a report system, im hoping that people are not only using it for cases like this, but also leaving very detailed information about what is actually happening. I say this because loads of people just dont care and never even use the report system. Riot cannot know someone is trolling if you dont actually report. And leaving detail information helps the system improve and catches these types of behavior faster.

Now with that said, since this process is slow. How can we improve it? Now i know most people bring up that Riot could hire more people. But they tend to forget that despite Riot being a very bug company. With the amount of people/games playing daily. There is no amount of people they could hire that would be able to catch these types of people faster than the system we already have.

Now if we keep it with an automated system, how do we improve that? What codes can we use to help improve the system to catch not only these types of behavior. But you also need to remember when these Trolls catch on (and they will) they will try to improve how they Troll to not be detected. Its the same reasoning behind botted accounts. Riot needs to be two steps ahead, because these programmers can get their programs back to becoming undetectable once they find out how Riot detects their programs.

The last thing you want to do is get innocent people ban, so you would need to improve it so that it can only catch these types of people, but also not wrongfully ban/accuse innocent people from being caught in this as well!

Hopefully you reported him post-game. What you described sounds pretty clearly reportable, since it seems like he was inting. I can't tell just from looking at his build. It looks bad, and probably more likely than not to get him killed. Most of his builds look off-meta (Like Akali and Cho support).

Hey there! Just a heads up that I've removed the name of the player in question -- we have a policy against calling out other players even when, as in this case, they did something that isn't fun to experience at all.

I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE! Not only for my horrific, spelling and grammar in the original post, but i was very upset at the time. I wasn't thinking clearly and i shove alot of it off on RIOT and associates. I finally made some head way in my ranked games and the yi (not to be named) just really pushed me over last night. I new it was against the rules to "name and shame" in the discussion :"( i did it out of frustration. :"( and i am truly sorry.

PLEASE FOR GIVE ME, for my outbursts and rule breaking.

i did report the yi at the end of the game. I haven't gotten a feed back report yet, but ill be sure to post it when i do. I myself am not very knowledgeable about computers or coding. And I don't really have any ideas on how to improve the current system in place. Maybe a few extra options in the report menu, with one or 2 options that throw red flags to give priority to be seen by a live person, and maybe a bit more room to talk about what happened. Generally i like to give a full report and i run out of room often.

As for the option to hire more employees. Personally and from a business standpoint I don't see it as an effective method. The shear number of people that play and reports that come in, and the amount of employees it takes to deal with them all, would make the cost of such a dedicated department, from payroll alone, incredibly high.

Again, i am deeply sorry for my outburst, rule breaking and most importantly, pushing it off on Riot and associates without trying to help fix the problem myself.
