Boards Moderation is Leveling Up!
Hey everyone!
Step-by-step we've been working at upgrading Moderation on the Boards, most recently with the Moderation Discord. Now we're leveling up once again!
Starting Thursday, April 6th, 2017, we'll be changing up a couple things about Boards Moderation.
- We'll be sending more customized messaging when we remove your post for any reason on the Boards.
- All of our Moderators will be posting more visibly when necessary for clarity and at times just to chat.
In regards to custom messaging, we're diving right in and attempting to adjust fully into custom messages with removals. Some of the messaging will still be pretty straightforward, but look for a bit more of an explanation about why we're removing this in relevance to your specific post.
As for going fully into Visible Moderation, this was always what we were working towards when I was introduced as the Visible Moderator on the Boards over a year ago. Overall the community has welcomed the increased participation, clarity, and feedback from having a Visible Moderator and the Boards have become a much better experience for all. Leveling-up to full Visible Moderation will ensure that going forward there will always be someone available to respond visibly to things that need an immediate response, though that does tend to be rare.
As we get into the groove on this, be aware this is a work-in-progress and we'll be looking for constructive feedback about these changes. If you have any comments/concerns, feel free to let us know!
I'd introduce the Moderation team but it's probably better they introduce themselves when and how they feel like it. You can recognize them by the green names like mine and "Mod" in front of their names for those that aren't familiar with them already from Discord.
