This system gives to much power to trolls, premades and enraged players, it encouraged me to leave

2 games where 1 individual deliberately ruined the game and went also on an insulting spree in chat. Everyone reported them and they both got a penalty. But on the other end, I got one aswell. In both games I pointed out that it was not me that made their game bad, but their own mistakes, and muted them when they went too far to not get drawn into a flame war. I went to support, but they said that while i didn't insult anyone, i should have not even got into an argue, and prob not said anything.

The first issue here is that you are guilty if you say anything back. Even if you take insults, and don't trow insults back, but a laid out argument, supposedly by Riot, you are still guilty and sanctions get uphold.

THe second issue is that RIOT expects you to just take it, be quiet and mute in worst case scenario. That's not normal for most people. People have learned in life to stand up for themselves, and talking back to someone attacking you is part of that. It's a biological thing.

Individuals, players, they can be toxic, and most moba players have taken it for granted that they have to deal with them from time to time. But I'm not used to dealing with a system that helps enraged, toxic and trolling players push a punishment on anyone that points to them or talks back. That very system encourages these players, gives them power and satisfaction to continue doing what they do.

Your game Riot, has the same amount of toxicity as it had when i started playing it, in season 1. Now, because of this system combined with your policies, that i together label as toxic, is the thing that drove me away from this game. Not the toxic player base, but the system. I can fight the players, but i can't fight the system you put in place. Being punished while not crossing the line is something i can't take, but that's not why I'm writing this, that's just why I'm leaving.

I'm writing this for you Riot, this automated system is easily seen through and abused. It doesn't reduce toxicity, it just punishes players altogether, good and bad ones, depending who is in the wrong game at the wrong time. Combine that with your unrealistic and not humane policies about human behavior, and you can see why it doesn't do any good. In the best scenario, people will shy away from chat, which will reduce this game to playing with living bots.In the worst case it will slowly deteriorate your game into children throwing tantrums and reports at each other, until even they realize they had enough.

Tribunal had much less errors and gaps then the automated system. Take that into account if you ever want to improve the system or adjust the policies.....

Someone else breaking the rules doesn't make it excusable for you to do so too. If someone flings shit at you and your response is to just fling shit back, you aren't some hero, you're just two idiots flinging shit at each other.

So ... you counter flamed him as a means to defend yourself?

You still flamed bro.

I was with ya till you tried to compare league chat to standing up for yourself in real life.... and then to be honest i just kinda stopped reading after that. But I agree, their system sucks for punishing gameplay trolling. But acting like youre standing up for yourself or defending yourself when someone says some bullshit to you in chat, is just pathetic imo. Not saying you are pathetic. Just the idea that you should "defend yourself" over your video game skills to some random anonymous screen names, is fucking sad. It sounds like insecurity and ego. Fuck it. Fuck em. Its pretty normal, imo, to ignore fucknuts online with their video game insults.

I've had the same problem with players continuously being toxic and blaming their team, and honestly although I do report this most of the time it feels like the report system doesn't even seem too care. i had a past game where I didn't say anything and played the game, but because I had missed my flash to block a Caitlyn ult I had gotten flamed by the person I tried to save as well as a teammate that was simply angry at me for not doing well. So after the game I reported them only to find my concerns unnoticed as the report system doesn't work off of how bad the reportable issue is, but rather the majority of players who report (or at least this is what I've found to happen)

I love to argue. Anytime someone starts something with me, I take it as another aspect to playing the match. Sometimes I enjoy the back and forth more than the match. I can't remember ever muting anyone. With that said, I've never been banned. I've never received warnings. I don't believe I ever will.

Resorting to harassment, insults, and costing others the game is not the way to go about it. If you can't handle the childish behavior of someone in the game, it's best to just mute them. Bullies/trolls like to get reactions. The worst they can do is tank your game. Report them and move on. You'll never see them again. Most of the time, I notice the behavior gets better if you just don't react to anything they say or do. At that point the only thing they have to gain is a ban.

"best thing it does is make people shy away from chat" thats already what it is doing. every 2nd comment in player behavior is usually "just mute them" so yeah.

and the fact that you can be honor lv 5 and you snap and go down to h0 is just... wow.

When you've just got an algorithm judging things with zero human oversight...

Yeah, trolls are going to find a way to abuse it.

I absolutely hate it when something like this happens to me. I mean, they start being so toxic to me, and I try to say something back, suddenly they play the victim. I mean, GOD, can you please stop acting like a douche-bag and listen instead of always laughing me off because i died 2 times? No matter how hard I try afterwards, it's still the same old "GG nub XXX, NO ganks". It honestly discourages me from even trying at that point. Did I mention it's worse if you got someone flaming you who has a duo with him. they both start flaming you. After a few games like that, I feel like I'm constantly on edge with every single player I come across.

Why don't you prove your claims? I don't believe you weren't toxic until you show us your logs.

and here you are complaining about it instead of actually leaving. proves you are bluffing.
