Hijacked account - permabanned. How to fix?

Hello all!

My account has been permabanned.

This one's a puzzler. Through all the games I have personally played, I can say, with 100% honesty, that I have been relatively sportsmanlike through every game I have played. I have not made, or attempted to make any fraudulent actions in or out of game. I have never used offensive language in or out of game towards any other player.

My only thought is that this may be related to someone having hijacked my account before I discovered it in November after a very long hiatus. I had reset my username and password only to find my name had been changed, and I was a plat V (despite having only played a few placement ranked matches throughout my entire history of the game - not enough to even receive a ranking). I went ahead with a support ticket to resolve this issue. I got my account back, and received a free name change by Riot in order to change the Summoner name. I have played only ARAMs since then - I do not want to be playing with, or ruin the game for, anyone far outside my skill level.

For the last couple months, I have logged in every few weeks just to make sure the account hasn't been tampered with again. Then today I receive an email saying that my account was permabanned. Perhaps Riot may have misconstrued my inflated rank as ELO boosting. I have never tried to take advantage of illegal services.

The Support page directs me to recover my account. I know my username and password, so I am unsure where to go from here. I know this is a misunderstanding. I don't know if my account was hijacked again and did something serious. Is there anyone that may be able to direct me to the right place?

Thanks for reading :)

I recommend you go to Riot Support and submit a ticket with the situation to see if there is anything you can do about your accounts status, if it was due to a compromise, they should be able to reverse it!

Click "Submit a Request" on the top bar of the support page, and go through the process of making a ticket. Riot should be able to help you once you submit it; but be sure not to bump it/spam tickets as it'll only make you wait longer.

Honestly, another support ticket or try live chat when it is available again.

In addition to what Attusu said, you'll need to recover the account by answering their questions before they will unlock it. Even if you currently have access to it, you need to prove you are the original creator of the account before they will repair the damage of the compromise.
