Nervous about Leaver Buster

Hello!

So I recently got back into league after more than a year having not played. Been playing a lot of ARAMs. One of my games, I hit accept to join the match, and a few seconds later, my whole internet went out for about an hour, forcing me to miss the entire game. I log back in the next day, and I have a Leaver Buster warning giving me a mini lecture that leaving games ruins the experience for everyone else, and forcing me to type "I Agree" not to leave any more games.

I am not that guy. I would never purposely leave a game...I know what that does for everyone else in the game. While I accept responsibility for my own internet issues, I am quite worried that I have been flagged as a "game-leaver" because of that one incident. I figured such warnings and threats of disciplinary action were for those who would ragequit, or religiously dodge games...not first-time offenders.

Is my account on the chopping block? Does that warning have any negative effects on my account?

Just my two cents...here I go, nervously click "Accept" for the next game.

I wouldn't worry. That popup is a standard warning they added about a year/year-and-a-half ago and has come up on the first game left since it was implemented. It's just a reminder for established players and an info popup for new ones.

Also, they don't issue suspensions/bans through LeaverBuster anymore. Instead, chronic leavers end up in an extended queue for a specific number of games.

I just got LeaveBuster placed on me just because m computer crashed. I have to wait 20 dang minutes for 5 matches before I can even actually find the match its self.

I can't think of any players who actually got a LeaverBuster penalty for "just one game". Not everyone realizes it also takes into account actions such as leaving and coming back, running around the Nexus, and other non-productive behavior meant to avoid getting an outright "Leave" tagged to the game. If you're at a 20 minute penalty, you have a history of leaving, going afk, etc.
