why the fuck do people just use /mute all at the start of the game? liek why the fuck would you just mote everyone in ur team because someone was toxic to you 2 games ago. u migth say "well its because people like u that are so aggresive" but the only reason am so aggresive is becuaes i just lost a game where our draven was 7/0 and would never group he just split bot and did nothing the entire game. he didnt listen to pings or read the chat. so what the fuck are we as a team supposed to do? just play 4v5 while draven pushes bot and dies? stop fucking muting everyone in ur team just mute if someone is starting to become toxic

  • Sometimes people have had numerous bad experiences and just want to play a game without risking it.
  • Sometimes people know they're prone to tilting themselves, and don't want to have any possible temptations.
  • Sometimes people just don't feel like engaging verbally with others.
  • Sometimes people see that the draft-phase chat seemed problematic.

There are any number of valid reasons.

Cause people arent waiting for some toxic player who flames sombody and distract the whole team.

Why do you care? Chat is not necessary to utilize; focus on using pings.

There should be a notification when a player mutes though, so you don't waste time typing to that player

Onereason i know of, is that some people recognize their lack of self control, and they know they will be triggered by random anonymous strangers online and end up breaking the rules of chat and get punished. Theyre protecting themselves.

Well I don't do it myself because I think communication via chat can actually be quite useful and improve your experience, and I don't get tilted by just a single remark (and in that case I mute the dude).

But certain people can be really tilted or offended by even that one remark, that's why they choose to do it. Or sometimes they just want to focus on themselves and ignore the fact that it's a team game.

People using "mute all" will not necessarily ignore the rest of your team though, that's a case-by-case thing. For all you know it's possible that the Draven didn't mute anybody but just didn't care.
