Paying $$ to get past Low Priority Que

I've been playing for 7 years, I mean...I've made some dumb insults in the past, dodged some horrible team lineups, and even missed the match selections when it pops up on the screen due the stove going off, or the grill. Bottom line, I feel a 20 min wait to play a game for 5, yes FIVE games, will only cause people to quit. You're just looking for $5, maybe $10 for some skins when people see em, but what about $20 to surpass the low priority que? You'll make a ton of money and it'll teach players to think twice before insulting others or dodging ques. If anything, you'll get a drunk guy on here that's willing to spend $100 to keep getting out of low priority que just to insult others. Talk about the money! What do you think?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that any system that allows people to pay money to avoid punishment is a bad idea.

In any case punishments are intended to either reform people or drive them away from the game. Giving people a way to bypass it defeats both purposes.

Riot would rather lose a couple thousand dollars and have a good community who doesn't AFK than have a couple thousand more (or even a million more) dollars and have a community where people AFK and just pay Riot to not get punished.

As Riot's philosophy goes... Players first - not money.

Word of advice: Finish your other tasks before queueing up. Stop being that 10th guy who never accepts when match is found.

Sounds great for Riot...sounds bad for us, which will eventually be bad for Riot. I don't want repeat queue dodgers in my games, and I certainly don't want drunks, chronic ADHDs, and kids with rich parents to be able to buy their way in here, like they do everywhere else.

I see where you're coming from. However, in order for your idea to work there has to be 0 falling out from the players who get queued with these toxic people over and over again. I know a lot of toxic players who own nearly every skin, drop major $$$ on the game. I would rather quit the game than having to deal with rich jack asses, or simply jack asses with about as much money sense as common sense (none); spending hundreds of dollars to keep their account. Those few players can't account for all the revenue lost in merchandise and cosmetic purchases from the average player; the players that will leave and have been leaving due to toxicity.

They've had the dodge timer since before I started. LeaverBuster originally had a timer-based system, but penalties ranged from 24hr bans to (iirc) 2-week.

Riot introduced the lpq system because players would just dodge the leaver penalties by rotating smurf accounts.

money shuts people up. When you get arrested, you're set a bail and have to pay fines. It would definitely work.
