League players have gone soft

I was recently chat banned for probably one of the most ridiculously weak cases of "Verbal Abuse".

It basically started off with me playing with a typical toxic teammate who had to pass the blame to anybody, and everybody, every time they died. I basically told him to stop talking and just play the game, to which he got mad salty, and basically just spammed chat with typical annoying 12 year old banter.

I basically in a not so entirely nice way told him to get lost, before muting him and finishing the game.

Afterwards I received a message that I had been reported and was receiving a chat ban. I personally don't feel the need to report people for "Verbal Harassment" because come on guys, its a video game. If you're really that offended by what some Keyboard Warrior tells you on the internet it's not that hard to mute them/ignore the chat or literally just not get offended by what some random kid on the internet tells you.

I don't understand why Riot allows you to toggle the chat filter on and off if they're going to hand out a ban just for swearing. Like, if you're that offended by it just leave your chat filter on.

Sorry for the rant but I think that it's just ridiculous that the community can be controlled this much by people who find any reason to get offended by something and I feel like there should be more reasoning behind chat bans rather than just being reported by some salty player.

You dont get banned off one report so you have offended before apparently or you said something more than what your saying.

You don't get punished for swearing.

And which of us is harder. The one who can manage to get through trolling without resorting to swearing or the one who can't.

Or, or, you could just not be an asshole. Wow, isn't that a concept?
