Be wary of premades

So to start off I received a 14 day ban for normal banter that happens every game by a premade team of 3. So not only did i get an unjust ban but I also lost out on my end season rewards (the year I finally reached gold btw). I have heated games in the past were I have said offensive stuff which I was banned for and agree with. Having said that I do not agree with a ban on my most recent game. I will post the whole chat log on here when i get home. But to sum up I received a 14 day ban and no rewards for gold because of harsh constructive criticism. The worst thing I said in the game was "i kinda want to quit" and "wtf leona". Now i know everyone that has ever played this game has experienced this type of "behavior" every game. I also was stating to our mid that she needs to call out mias or she is gonna cost us the game which was true (I'm referring to when I did dragon with pinks up and she let mid roam gank me and get dragon) . To me that's constructive criticism but to the premade team of 3 it was toxic. I also want to mention that leona referred to me as a "retard" which actually is bannable and very offensive to me but she gets nothing done to her. Anyway I reached put to riot support staff to figure out why I was receiving the ban when I said no offensive language or any if that just some harsh constructive criticism, and his answer was given your past this is justify. So someone like leona could do worst then what I did and still get her rewards and be able to play but because I had bad games in the past I have to watch any word I say or how I phrase constructive criticism seems very unfair to do to someone. I even told the support staff member to look at how I spoke in the past from my recent ban compared to what I said in that game, stating it was nothing that should have been banned for. His response to me btw about my gold rewards I worked hard on all year was there's always next year. I will be providing all the chat logs to back up my claim, but any player here will agree what I said is said in every single game from atlesdt 1 if not 2 people. I've shared my stories and chat logs with 15 people now and all of them agree that this ban should never have happened. I will reply tonight with all the logs.

I’ll revisit this when the logs are posted. But in the meantime, I will give you some general information.

You mention the support agent referred to your prior behavior as justification for the ban. I presume that statement referred to you having multiple chat restrictions before. Just as you were given leniency before you were issued a ban, the other player will also be given leniency if their behavior is rare and not every game.

I understand your friend group may not think you deserve a ban, but there’s two things to keep in mind here:’

  1. It doesn’t have to deserve a ban. If you’ve had chat restrictions, any behavior that would “deserve” a chat restriction will cause you to escalate in the punishment pathway. The next step in the pathway is a permanent ban, which any punishable behavior will get you for a while until you show you have reformed and improved your behavior. Punishments are escalated not only because of severe toxicity, but also because of frequency of toxicity. You can be mildly toxic in every game and be permanently banned, you can be very toxic in one game and never get permanently banned. It’s not just severity, it’s frequency.

  2. Your friend group does not set the rules. Riot, based on community standards, sets the rules. It does not matter whether you are okay with the behavior, it matters if the community thinks it’s acceptable. Considering that at least one person had to report you in every game you were punished for, that’s the first sign that your behavior is not acceptable. The fact that the reports were validated by the system is the second sign that your behavior is not in line with community standards. Further, if everyone in your games is acting like that, it does not mean that the behavior is acceptable all of the sudden.

Sorry for the late response - just saw that you posted the logs. I'll just say I agree with Djinn's analysis - not really anything I'd add.
