Why can some players not get ranked suspensions until they improve?

If a player is so bad that having them on your team is a loss 99% of the time, why can they not get a ranked suspension until they improve? Realistically if a player is going 2/23 in a bronze 5 game trying their hardest, ranked is obviously not the place for them. They need a lot of practice, and ranked should be out of the question if they dont even have the basics of the game like csing, pinging, or, well, anything. A system i would have in mind is if a player is performing like this in numerous games over and over, they have a week suspension and until they show improvement they get to do placement type of games to prove they are ready for ranked which would be available once a week.

Because if that was the case, we would have only 5 different ranks.

Challenger, Master, Diamond I 90LP, Diamond I 0LP, Permabanned from ranked.

Because if they really have such an abysmal winrate over a significant amount of games they will play against people who would not have done any better in their place. People do extremely badly when they are matched against far better players. Punishing people because Riot didn't find them a proper match seems beyond ridiculous.

Edit: I mean, just consider what usually happens within the first week after the soft reset. Lots of lopsided matches that are simply created by matchmaking having to cope with people climbing and falling back to where they belong. You could have lots of gold players screwed over completely by bad luck, who on top of this might then get suspended in ranked... and for what? For performing on their average level while being matched against people that before the reset were ranked plat and diamond?

I thought the punish.ent came after the crime and being a shit player isn't a crime. Inting is. Also "TILT ED. defeat defeat defeat. The o ly reason why this was a win was because I fucking carried it. Shouldn't have won fucking ***. Adding that shit to the list".

  • Tyler 1. I don't condone that behavior though. Im just joking about the old Tyler 1.

I don't think we should force anyone to play anywhere, and all punishments should be for everywhere.

To put it bluntly, I play mostly normals and I want him on my team as little as you do.

No. These gatekeeper attitudes of "only play ranked when you're good enough" is way more elitist than it needs to be.

I understand your sentiment. I do. It's frustrating to watch that Katarina lose trades, lose cs, and so forth. But someone who's just bad needs guidance, patience, and support. Were you always fantastic at this game?

No, you weren't.

So, ultimately, no, you don't get to decide when that player is "ranked ready." You DO get to decide how you're going to treat another player on your team, however.

And the idea that you're proposing here (namely, that you belong in ranked, that he definitely doesn't, that you can take a screenshot of his KDA and his CS and his gold like it's solid proof) means that you yourself need to take a step back and be humble.

I would rather team with that 2/23/4 Katarina than with anyone who thinks that "go back to Norms" and "banned for being bad" is a legitimate, worthwhile idea.

Give me that player's screenname.

dude if you get THIS pissed over one person not doing as well as you want them to IN A VIDEO GAME, quit this game and try something simpler

furthermore, if riot punished people for doing poorly in a video game, you would've been banned at least once, op
