What do you think would happen if riot unbanned every permad acc for toxicity?

Of course, the toxic "punishment graduation" wouldnt be reset, lets say next toxicity offense would net another permanent ban.

Do you think people would embrace their long lost beloved accounts with love and swear to change, or would the majority just get permad again? Would you consider returning to league after quitting cuz of a perma?

Share your opinions and why you think you are right with me =) [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

My bet is 75% of them would be re-banned within a week.

"Why should I try to reform if I will get my account back at some point anyway?" - a lot of toxic people will think that.

Nothing would happen I'm afraid, other than that there would be a far less number of active accounts. People who have been banned are still playing, they just create another account.

Just read boards, how many people do you see on here who comment things like, "this is why so many of my accounts have been banned," or "I'll just make a new account." Hell, even people who are not toxic make new accounts.

About a week ago I was in a ranked. Our mid lane fed so incredibly hard. When asked to play safe, he said something along the lines of "lol, enjoy" and began walking it up mid, along with stealing buffs and camps from jg ect. We lost. I reported and got instant feedback. I shook it off and got into a new game... I get into game (no one said a work in champ select) and our mid lane starts spamming laugh at spawn and not going to lane. Long story short, this dude was the mid feeder from last game who had hopped onto another account and was in the same game as me again...

Riot can't really contest the creation of a new account, even from someone who is banned. They do not do IP bans anymore as it is very troublesome.

Given that Riot acknowledged they had a redemption program at one point, and discontinued it because the success rate was incredibly low? I'd imagine we'd see a HUGE uptick in ban rate for the few weeks after this was implemented.

I'm sure many people from banned accounts would delight to have their accounts back to play in a reformed, non-toxic manner.

For a few days, anyway.

I would set up a betting station and take bets on how many games it will take permabanned players to re-embrace their permaban status.

Human do not change that easily. People that get banned cry on the boards and other forums to get unbanned, that they regret what they did. Fact is, they do not regret what they did, they regret that they got banned for that. Many people that get perma banned create a new account and manage to get banned on the new account aswell.

Yes, a few people change, but the majority would definitely get banned again.

Obvious speculation, but I think about half of them would immediately get banned again. If you think of how full some people are of themselves, there's gonna be people who felt their actions were fine and Riot is full of shit. Think of your friends that get into hip hop culture and how cocky they are. They don't give a fuck about being assholes. It's just how they are. They think they're in the right. So there's gonna be a lot of those people... maybe 10% would actually try to reform and be okay... another 20% would try but not make it because they don't quite understand being courteous and how to be a nice person.. and the rest wouldn't even come back or know that their accounts are unbanned because they've moved on to other things.

I never spent any money or bought any skins on my permabanned account, so I'd just keep playing on my current account.
