Unfair Leaverbuster

I got into a game and couldn't see health or mana bars. So I quickly exited and closed the client. The client wouldn't reopen. Then after about 4 minutes, it did. Then it told me it had gone back to a later patch and would need to restart and update. When I finally got back in the game, around when everyone was level 9, and I played it out. Then at the end of the game, I got a Leaverbuster. How is this fair? It's not my fault I couldn't see health bars and I had no control over the client being glitchy. I even had a teammate ingame explain to the other teammates.

Leaverbuster has built in leniency for situations exactly like this. If it punished you this time, you probably used up your leniency on other occasions. If that is not the case, and you haven't DCed or AFKed previously, then a support ticket could be useful.

Hey there, although you may not believe its your fault for being afk, you still ruined the game for 9 other players. There is no logical way for riot to group people that left the game due to trolling/bad time management , and those that had a out of there hands problem. Most of the times it will be the former, so it only makes sense for riot to punish the players.

Sadly riot will not remove your leaverbuster punishment.

Riot will not remove a Leaverbuster penalty under any circumstance.

hm, in my opinion, you should only get leaver if you got reported for leaving the game or AFK-ing the game. I mean, you literally can report someone for doing such a thing. I got a leaver punishment for "AFK-ing" a beginner bot game because, I want to test my ping (i should've played in custom game in that way I could leave the game whenever I want, but playing in custom alone and 9 other bots doesn't feel like testing a ping because you're just you, only_you know what I mean) and my ping was like bouncing from 100-900 ping and eventually I got the message above the screen "attempting to reconnect" it was pretty long maybe 4-5 minutes. I got back to the game and my ping is still bouncing, I still played even though it's very annoying after the game (we won, duhr) was finished, I got a leaverbuster.
