What's the influence to keep playing if you were to reconnect after 3 minutes with no remake?

After the 3 minute AFK mark, it still counts as a loss, you still get leaverbusted, you still lose LP, EXP, get a D- and miss out on mission reward progress. What's stopping you from just sitting out the whole game? As far as I know, reconnecting late and AFKing the full game have the same consequence. When your team doesn't remake, they're essentially punishing you and themselves, decreasing their chance of winning and end up wasting your time.

Shouldn't players be encouraged to come back and help their team win should they decide not to remake?

Side note: It could be 4 minutes, I know it's not 5 minutes anymore but I'm uncertain if it's 3 or 4 minutes.
