Yes... It is literally automated, you are right about that, but it is also instant, so the name still makes sense.

The reason it is instant is because it is automated... people are never that fast.

For every game you play you get like 9x report on someone or 6 reports of so and so, or everyone reported everyone for everything so it better damn well be automated. I can't imagine hiring people to send personal messages. Like damn.

It can take a little while for the email to arrive. You also need to make sure your email is verified on the account, and that Riot Games emails are not being sent to your spam folder. To verify your account just click on Settings on the top right in your account dropdown.

If you didn't get an email or otherwise need more information, submit a Support Ticket and they'll get with you as soon as they can.

If you were punished by the Instant Feedback System for chat offenses, you will also receive a Reform Card with some of your chat logs when you log in until you finish your restriction.
