Why were you BANNED?

Hello Summoners (or ex-Summoners),

I just posted a thread on my permaban to gather whether the community thought I should have been permanently banned or not, and the responses got me interested..

What is the best reason you were ever banned/chat restricted/ect.?

The more context the better!

I, like many people on these forums, have never been chat restricted, suspended, or banned. Why? Because I don't make a habit of treating people like crap.

I got banned by old-school leaverbuster once I think.

Have been banned for a week back in season 2. I wish I had my reform card left - will try to request it from support. I mained AD carry Sona and accumulated a lot of reports that way. My perception might be warped(it was a long time ago), but my chatlog was passive-aggressive at best and was misinterpreted at worst. Was not punished since I stopped playing her.

Oh, I have another one, actually deserved. When russian server opened, it was a complete shitshow - everyone was inting, everyone was flaming and leaving games when they don't like anything. Matchmaking sucked and it still kinda does, as that server has insane concentration of smurfs who rarely play, like me. Tribunal was not implemented. Reports did nothing. Riot punished a guy based on the FORUM POST. I couldn't believe my fucking eyes tbh. So I started an experiment to see how they ban people firsthand. I was picking smite teleport support teemo, tried to steal the enemy buff, and then posted absolutely insane copy-pasta involving cancer, prostitution and deviant sexual experiences targeted at anyone I have excuse not to like. It took me about a month to get a 2-week ban and I was one of the first people to get punished there. Ever. Outside of any banwaves. But that was kinda intended.

I wrote "KYS" to my friend twice, 9 months apart. I took a break from the game when I got banned the first time. Couldn't remember why I took the break when I came back, got permabanned after 3-4 months of no punishment. I tilted one game and wrote it after he called me bad lmao

I've actually been banned before. I'm afraid it's not the kind of story you're looking for though.

I picked up League of Legends while I was away from home at college. The semester ended, and I went home for Christmas. Of course, I still wanted to play League while I was on break, but my family wanted to do activities together. I would think I was free for long enough to play a game, I'd start a game, then my family would tell me we were running off to do this or that and I'd have to AFK.

On Dec 24th I got a warning that I had a "level 1 Leaver penalty". On Dec 25th I got a one (1) day ban.

I don't think I bothered to try and play much more that break, or asked if it would be OK to play for 45 minutes before sitting down for a break.

That's it. That's my ban story. It was a much different punishment system back then.
