You may very well be doing great in lanes/jungle at that point. What you may not see is the top laner who's left alone getting 6 farm per wave for the next 15 minutes. Or the jungler who doesn't even have to gank because there's no jungler on your team so why gank? Or the adc who may be ahead in experience but is behind in cs and lane advantage because they have no support.
Remake exists because if someone doesn't connect during the first 3 minutes of the game, the team is already at a massive disadvantage, even if the afk reconnects. Just as surrendering is a vote, remake is a vote as well.
The difference is surrender votes are more common at times during the game when there is a much higher chance of comebacks/throws. 20-30 minutes into the game? Enemy fucks up baron and your jungler steals it? But you never got there because you surrendered.
Remake happens at a time that your team is being shoved farther in the disadvantage hole every second. Surrender occurs when the advantage/disadvantage is usually not changing and the game is based more on plays and misplays than on advantage and disadvantage. That's why it takes more people to surrender - you usually aren't getting more and more disadvantaged by the second.
