people who refuse to surrender

I really think Riot should have some type of punishment for people who refuse to surrender. I've seen and heard of major comebacks, but when "this one time" is 1 out of 100 or more games, it's legitimately not worth it in normals to keep playing. I was just in a game where we were down 4-35 in kills, we had 0 dragons, rift heralds, or barons, 0 towers, they were already taking our inhibitors, and 2 people kept refusing to surrender, and after I said "can you guys end this" in all chat the one person said "drag it out". At the very least, can Riot make it where if you vote no on surrender votes at least 90 some % of the time or vote no in a very high % of games that you ultimately lose, can those people's votes start not counting? Like a temporary voting restriction leading to a possible permanent one if they keep offending? I'm serious. This is a big problem in this game.

A punishement for refusing to surrender? No.

I would like to see earlier surrender times however (15 mins?) since games are ending sooner.

You can't punish people for wanting to try because YOU don't want to anymore.

It's a vote. A vote is a free choice. You can't punish someone for wanting to try to win. No game is irreversible. Not a single one.

Here's how it is skippy jim. You want to troll me? Verbally harass me? Shit-talk me? Enjoy your loss, you've EARNED it. There will be no quick escape for you, because while you're dicking around and trolling like some kind of petulant child, I'm still trying to win, and trying counts. Since I know riot won't punish people like that, I will.

Deal.[slayer-jinx-unamused]

You lose a game the moment you give up on trying.

Just because YOU think it's over doesn't mean it IS over. Until that nexus blows up there is always the chance that you can make a comeback. People get cocky in this game and I've won many games because their whole team fountain dives because they think they have the win, and we end up punishing them for it, or we managed to win a couple of team fights.

While it is true that a lot of the time you will lose those games you get behind in, that's no reason to just say 'gg it's over, surrender'. The instant you just start spamming surrender votes, and quit trying to do as much as you can is the moment you chose to lose.

A punishment for refusing to surrender? Can we get a punishment for people who complain that their team doesn't want to surrender? If you don't want to play the game then don't que up. It's a very easy fix.

When to surrender is completely personal preference. It is a vote for a reason.

While I very much am on the side of its often worth it to cut your losses and get on to a new game. I don't think its reasonable to expect everyone to do the same. Some people would rather fight for that 1% chance every time and there is nothing wrong with that.

Irene Lee12/15/2015, 1:28:02 AM3 votes

Well, I don't think that's a good idea, to be honest. What if you have the worst damn luck and have to surrender 90% of your games. O_o

If you want to rant about surrendering why waste your time playing?

Aerilus12/15/2015, 3:19:37 AM2 votes

There should just be a feature to surrendering that if the one team has say 40% more gold after 15 minutes in, that it only takes 2-3 players to surrender rather than 4. This would prevent most cases of abuse and prevent games from dragging out when one side already won.

This is illogical as saying I would report you for being in Silver 5 cuz u has no brain. jk I respect silver, but this thread is not reasonable.

A punishment for refusing to surrender?

Don't ever play a game with me. I don't even vote.

Puynsi12/15/2015, 7:57:18 AM1 votes

"punishment for people who refuse to surrender". Even if you had one troll it won't matter since it will be irrelevant if 4 people agree, if more than 2 people are trying to come back you should stop going full dorans blade and pull your shit together.

Aqamdax12/16/2015, 3:52:28 AM1 votes

I don't think voting no should be punished, but i DO think that it would be good to surrender if majority decides to do so. If 3 vote yes I think the game should be over. Now we need 4 to vote yes. Also the time to start the vote should be earlier. 15 mins for example. Games are shorter now, and in some horrible games either team might get fed very early and you end up 25-3 in kills before 15 mins.

Honestly if your going to surrender before the nexus tower is down i set up a block you instantly rather than hear you flame about "why no FF" People do it all the time, get cocky throw games, anyone who's in the mind set its over just ff don't have a chance anyways have fun being mad at the game more than you play it.[zombie-brand-clap]

I have surrendered. I have even started surrender votes. I don't rage at people in the game because they won't. I know people say that time is precious and you should just let the game die and get into a new one. Sometimes though you just want to gut it out. In the end this is nothing about raging due to someone either voting for or against surrendering. This goes into the same category with raging of any sort. Let people play the game. Everyone cares to varying degrees. You are choosing to play a game that involves other people. Social skills are dying. Just let it go.
