Tribunal doesn't work. Typing vs Actions.

So,

I don't think much of the Tribunal system. I think it's an easy cop out so league can focus on other things. In my climb through lower ranks, most of the issues I have with winning involve people more interested in typing or intentionally throwing the game because they're mad. Often times, peoples tilted actions are much more damaging than their tilted words. I was curious on which one riot thought was worse with their in game "punishment" system.

I've never received a chat ban so I wanted to see if** typing in all caps for a week, would earn me one.** I often had a playful, or fun tone and was considerably more nice than when I normally play ranked (Let's be honest, everyone gets heated during those games sometimes). Scored my first chat ban in a couple of days.

EDIT: WORTH NOTING: I Never received ONE notification or warning previous to my chat ban

It's not hard proof, but I think it's pretty easy to see that content of messages clearly don't matter in the "tribunals" punishment.

So people who type to you in caps, or the guy that asks for a gank mid a couple of times and says "I need some fking help" after the 20th time asking for a gank. Are likely the ones **REALLY **getting bans.

Not the people who stand outside of xp range, so its lv 3 vs lv 7 support at 12 minutes. Not the guy that blames it on you and just says "report X" everytime he dies. Not the person that intentionally steals kills and buys useless items with it.

How do I know that? Because I did that for a solid week on an alt account and received NO REPERCUSSION. (about 20 games on each account for this experiment).

So, I think that speaks much more to the uselessness of the tribunal system and how far behind they are with this program vs almost any of their other initiatives (Like, stuff that you buy / Making sure LCS is balanced). They aren't fixing the problem, they're slapping meaningless chat and 14 day bans on customers they should be appreciating while the real toxic people can do whatever they want (And get the people that they upset banned in the process)

Riot is the real troll here. By this experiment, It's easy to say that Riot is more concerned with what people type than actually screwing the game up on purpose. Riot is trying to fix the surface issue, instead of the REAL trolls, and banning innocent and good customers.

Stay easy riot.

theres a simple solution to all problems, just mute everyone and communicate with pings, if i would of realised this sooner i would still have my 500 dollar account :(

Lol @ the early down votes. I don't post much on here, but I read often. and I almost always wonder if the readers of these forums actually play the game sometimes.

Or at least the people who click those arrows.

I just grabbed myself a chat ban because of this .... because 3 trolls that were calling me autistic and retarded %%%*** etc. I get a ban for defending myself? and saying things like dude u suck get out of here try not feeding. they got a ban because I reported them but I also did to for saying they're bad and should stop typing and learn to play because at the end of the match even know we lost ( I was jg ) I was 7/2 all three of the trolls were either 9/9 or like 2/9.....

It's called a flawed, automated system. The bans used to be given out by a group of actual players that were part of the "tibunal". they could see chat and game history and would vote on the outcome of the bans as a group on a case by case basis. They did away with that system in late S3/S4 in favor of an automated system. The amount of complaints of unfair banning has risen exponentially. Riot said all the way years ago they were going to re-release a player-based tribunal and have barely even mentioned it since, much less actually done anything about an insane amount of bogus bans.

I never once received any kind of punishment EVER from season 1 to season 4 until they started the automated system. I got 2-3 chat bans in less than 2 months after. Back then if you chewed someone out or cussed them out because they were trolling or feeding, or refused to help the team, the player-based tribunal saw that and would let you off. With the current system, you could never type anything but gg at eh end of games for good job and you will get banned if enough percentage of people report you, or if you use enough "tag" words along with enough percentage of reported per game. **There is no justified or right/wrong, its jsut you used certain words or got reported enough per so many games, so you were banned. **
