if i go into a game and my team is toxic, I am not allowed to leave the game because that's bannable. If I mute them, they will still have visible chat in the post-game chat, meaning it's not really a full-fledged MUTE.

And if I respond, i instantly get a chat restriction or worse.

But somehow, every fucking time i play a game, someone is toxic enough to deserve a perma ban.

a fucking perma ban. but im told by riot that their system removes or reforms the toxic players. Does it? NO. it doesn't. it doesn't do jack shit.

my argument? my argument was that if someone ingame tells someone to kill themselves, they shouldn't be given a chat restriction or a one day ban. Give them a 14 day ban at the minimum. That way, you won't have every game full of chat restricted people who should be perma banned that use every message for toxicity

Actually, your first argument is wrong. Plenty of Rioters have made it known that punishments can skip chat-restrictions and go straight to bans if the action is severe enough.

I relatively frequently get notifications that shitbirds have been shitcanned, and it's glorious. They should put a little fireworks animation in to go with it. And these are pretty finicky; your report has to be one of the ones involved in the actual investigation. Maybe if they opened that up a little more people would get more of them.

I run into someone telling people to kill themselves maybe once every few months. I have more games without toxic players (that I can see anyway) than with by a long shot.

We're playing the same game, in the same community, so is it possible that there's something about how you're communicating with your team that brings out the worst in them?

I rarely even use the chat in-game

and in general I'm a very positive player. If anything, I make people tilt towards being less toxic in game

No, 1 report is the same as 9 reports. The reports are counted per game, not per player.
