"I Agree" Leaver Buster system message. That's it really?

"Abandoning a match... something something Dark Side... is a punishable offense in League of Legends.

Do you agree not to leave any further games?

Type, "I Agree," to continue."

Of course I Agree you bunch of derpa derps. I have always agreed. When I participated in the Tribunal regularly the only offenses I never second guessed and hit PUNISH on was leavers. However the message is complete garbage. Okay I hit "I Agree," but can I offer a damn explanation that becomes documented?

Is it my fault that we had a snowfall the other night, and some jerk moron driving an F-250 in the snow like its a dune buggy, plows through the telephone pole at the corner of the block tearing right through without stopping and Sion Ulting into the neighborhood cable box? I went out there and the first 8 feet of the telephone pole from the ground up were gone. Might as well have disintegrated. The cable box looked like a tin can folded in half laying in someone's yard 20 feet away. I am pretty sure the EMTs used a shop vac to take the driver away.

What I am trying to convey is that sometimes... maybe 0.5% of the time things happen that are actually out of our control. If in the leaver buster message in addition to "I Agree," we could actually provide a reason, a short 100 character max message as to WHY it occurred, those of us that are honest never-leavers would feel better having it documented in the system.

If you don't believe me Riot, I have photos of the scene, I can get you the work report from both the utility company and the ISP/Cable company. Sometimes stuff like this happens and I get that it goes on the player "report card" but much like the in-game communications of other players offering evidence and clarification of other offenses, a reason documented with the "I Agree," might actually give insight into the situation. It could also help expedite bans against habitual leavers that would always use the same old FAKE excuse repeatedly.

I am not a fan of the wording of that message but I think you are blowing this way out of proportion. It is just a message to convey the importance of staying in games. There is built in leniency for occasional things like the situation you mentioned. That is why you were warned and not punished. The reason isn't relevant, everyone gets a certain amount of slack for whatever reasons they have arise.

in the .0000000000001% chance that the .5% random occurrence as to why you had to leave a game happened enough that you actually got punished for it....well then this post would have a purpose.

LeaverBuster never happens on the first offense. It happens after repeated offenses in a short period of time.

You guys do not feel like having a reason documented would make you feel better about it at least?

It doesn't matter why it happened. You aren't punished for first time offenses. You were just reminded that you agreed to not leave games.
