Playing with bots in ARAM is all too common
But, it genuinely surprised me when I had FOUR bots on my team against a full team. The enemy team was great though, since they did apologize about the whole situation (which, they really had no reason to apologize, it wasn't their fault).
I have noticed that the climb to 30 is much more difficult now compared to when I first started playing the game back in 2011. I left the game about 1-2 years ago mainly because of work, school, and I was getting irked by how progressively more and more toxic the community had become. Now, I come back on a new account, to get a feel for playing League, as well as losing my account information for my main account.
Since I made this account, I've had to report a player in a game every single game. This account has almost 100 games on it now, and other than the tutorial and the grind to level 5 (which, even then, there were bots from level 1-5), I've had to report players mainly because of botting. I have talked with other players ingame about it, and a good chunk of them have chimed similar thoughts: the game is not "new-player" friendly.
I'd like to know what Riot is actively doing (besides banwaves) to address the problem of botting. It seems like they aren't really doing anything about it.
