The state of ranked.

I can't seem to get out of Bronze. I do well individually but the amount of people that go afk mid game, or just feed their lane until it's GG is just ridiculous. Do people not care anymore? Or are people genuinely placed where they shouldn't be? I play support in ranked, which relies on having competent teammates but that just ain't happenin'. I think a break from ranked, or to become a casual norms player is probably best for now, considering the shit show ranked gameplay is. Check my replays if you wish to see what I'm talking about.

So, I get how tempting it is to blame others - especially when you climb out of the lowest rank or few, then stop.

But statistically speaking, you actually gain LP from people AFKing, as there’s more games you have an AFK or troll on the other team.

If you want to climb, you have to focus on how you can affect wins. Not how you can affect your KDA, not how you can affect objectives, how you c an affect wins. Wins are not based on KDA or objective damage - it’s based on which nexus falls first. The goal for you should be to keep your team above the enemy team in push potential, and then utilize it.

FIrst, do you dodge games?

Second, your question is an inclusive, open ended one with an exclusive, closed poll. You may want to fix one or the other.

Why is there no "none" option in your poll?

Dont try to climb supp without a duo partner. Solo supp was a miserable experience for me even though I prefer a lot of the popular supp champs.

I suggest playing more aggressive / poke supports like Lux Velkoz Nami Sona Brand or lockdown supports Leona Nautilus Thresh so no matter how bad your adc or team is doing, you'll never be useless because you have abilities to save yourself / allies and peel, and if your team is doing good you can engage or protect high priority targets. Personally I've found Soraka (my main ♥) & Nami to be really good to me last season.

I op.gg'd you and saw you were playing Lux, so I took at look at the 3 most recent of the games (The Ones from 2 days ago as of this comment). Game 1: The runes were okay, but I'd prefer switching precision for inspiration and getting a free stopwatch + the bonus 5% CDR, as well as more AP/CDR instead of attack speed. You rushed item 3504 , which is mostly a detriment to Lux, since her goal is dishing out as much poke as possible / finishing enemies, plus landing that darn shield is damn near impossible sometimes. Then you went for item 3136, which IMO isn't good with Lux, but Lux really needs item 3157 or item 3802 / item 3285 to really be a threat to her enemies / helpful to allies / staying alive. You also maxed Q first, but you should max E first instead to once again, out poke your enemies in lane.

You also bought 0 control wards, which are VERY important. If you see the enemy coming, you can prevent your death or prepare accordingly. You also never bought a sweeping lense, and I cannot stress how important vision control is to winning games. Game 2&3: Same thing as game 1

I could analyze these games more, but this comment is getting long. I do hope that this helps you next time in your game, though!

GLHF! Soraka

If you're really struggling, try to learn a carry lane. Top, Mid, or Jungle. Find a duo partner who is reliable and plays consistently well, of course you will also need to play consistently well. Two players in carry roles can indeed carry. Sometimes you get bad teammates and sometimes you're the bad teammate. It happens. You just have to adapt to the meta and abuse what's good. Supporting in low elo is not beneficial if you are trying to hard carry. If need be, pick 1 - 2 champions and play them non-stop in normals, get used to their ins and outs, then go to ranked. Easy learning curve champions that are strong in this meta are best.
