Learn to mute, it saves you a lot of problems.

After playing League for a while, I’ve experienced my fair share of toxicity. I used to let this get under my skin. I have a clean account, and never used to retaliate. But, it still bothered me, tilted me and caused me to play worse than I could have. However, after learning to mute people at the first sign of anything toxic, I find myself more focused, less tilted and able to play better. I see a lot of chat logs on this forum of players trying to justify their own toxic behaviour by saying “but he started it”. Be the bigger person, mute them and report post-game. It might even save your account. It’s just a game, treat it as such. If you come across players not playing correctly, try to guide them and give them tips. We were all new once. When the fun stops, stop playing for a while.

Agreed. It's a tactic that works in real life too - don't expend energy arguing with idiots. They are idiots.

Well, but then who could come to the Boards crying that they were flamed and their whole life is ruined because somebody said something mean to them? If you mute others, you have no explanation to play the victim, and as far as i see, some people enjoy playing victim more, than the game :D

Also, community, there is another way to not get flamed and that is to not play like an idiot. This will drastically reduce the flame you receive

Unfortunately if players learned to mute the IFS wouldn't exist in the first place

or you know riot can just do ip bans or go on a permaban spree Also ppl in bronze are not new just bad. Majority of the community is silver. TBh they should probally just remove ranked XD

What annoys me is that you cant mute post or pre game. It annoys me when I'm filling out my report I'm continued to be flamed by people I muted.

In addition, I've gotten reported for negative attitude for muting my team several times. It annoys me that me not wanting to see your toxic behavior or pings means I have a negative attitude.. keeping me from my honor gain.

The whole system needs fixed so that false negative attitudes dont count against you

But can you mute teammates that come to your lane and just stay there and take your farm and feed the enemy tho?
