I wont put any names, just a picture of the chat i had with someone after they got done flaming me in game, not sure where else to put this, I reported them after the game was over for negative attitude, intentional feeding and flaming, as they did all of those. Anyways here is the end of the chat i had with them; also, how do i block someone on the new client?
Well, I know this sucks and you feel bad after hearing this in a game, but what you should do is just ignore him. He just wants attention. I've been playing for so much time and I've got into this kind of players almost every game. You don't get anything if you keep talking to a toxic person. Don't lower to their level. I know, maybe you want to explain yourself or even to apologize for not having a good match but it's not worth it. They will always keep flaming and attacking you because that's all they can do. Your time and your patience can be used for something else, don't waste them on someone who just wants to tilt you. As I saw in another post, a single report is enough to get Riot to look over a player. So the best way to lower this kind of behavior is to report them after the game and ignore everything related right after. At least that's what I'm doing since season 2. And yes, I'd like to know too how to block a player via the new client. I can't figure it out.

You know you might be able to send that to Riot. But then again it's not in game chat, and technically you decided to talk to him when you could have just blocked him (I know you asked how to block, but I can't imagine it would take more than 5 minutes to find the block button)or taken him off your friends list.
The stupid thing is you are not able to block people forever while in the game or in the champ select screen and you should be able to! It's annoying to mute them just so you can see their trash talk on the end screen! it takes more of your time, energy and nerves to block them twice and is annoying af!
You should sue riot. They are grossly and willfully negligent in policing their game rules
