Popular opinion: don’t play league if you’re not in the mood for league

If you don’t like or don’t feel like playing league of legends, don’t play the game. Plain and simple. Don’t spend your time doing something you aren’t going to enjoy and be a stick in the mud. You’ll save your team a lot of headaches.

Unpopular opinion: don't play League if you aren't prepared to have bad games.

When you're losing a ranked game and your mid is like "I don't care, I don't like this game anway"

THIS. RIGHT. HERE.

You have absolutely no idea if this opinion is popular

ive got a friend whos got a couple of personal issue and mental problems, if shes having a bad day or a episode she takes breaks from the game and i dont ask her to play, sometimes you just need a break

Yea, I done it a couple times before. I got so toxic man it wasn't good for my health.

I know myself well enough not to be playing a game with others when I'm not in the mood. Whether it be too many defeats in a row, trolls or flamers, I can handle a few games with any or all of that - after that, I play something else.

I find Doom with Godmode and a gatling gun to be great for stress relief. Same with mass-chopping heads off of Zombies in Dying Light (a trainer made that game playable at all), as I've recently discovered.

NGL I feel like the streaming community is very competitive and many streamers AFAICT will stream when they're not in the mood to play the game or even just not in the mood to stream. I guess the grind gets to people and they feel like they have to grind even if it means they will be making the game unfair for 9 other players since they are worn out or whatever.

Games are for fun, it's not a job. You shouldn't work yourself to the bone over a game. But some people do it anyway.

bro I stopped doing that a long while ago but sometimes you are just so desperate to level up

DrippyBrownHole4/8/2019, 1:05:36 PM1 votes

Given that the boards exist almost entirely of complaints, they wouldn't exist unless people played when they didn't really want to.

No one wants to play League.

This should hold true for anything in life. If you aren't in the mood, or aren't feeling it, it's ok to not do it/find something different to do.

problem isn't starting a game when I don't want to play. Its getting 5 minutes in and having two lanes already with 2 deaths each.

hotarse4/9/2019, 3:46:34 AM1 votes

Cut off the last 8 words in your title and you've got it right.

Same thing goes for if you are tilted cause last game was crap, maybe chill for a while before you queue? I mean, if not because you should spare the people you play with, spare yourself cause you play worse when tilted

Kyaza4/10/2019, 11:14:36 PM1 votes

man you have no clue how many times ive gotten queue to pop only to decline as i realize I dont feel in the right headspace

hellyeaimondrugs2/15/2020, 6:30:41 PM1 votes

if the game wasnt dogshit plp would care about it

I actually got hit by this one time. I wanted to play teemo, but someone else picked him before me. I just couldn't get into the game after that. And rather be stuck in a 20-30 min game i just closed up and left. Felt pretty bad about doing it the next morning, saw my team lasted 30 mins in a 4v5

Metal Janna4/7/2019, 5:09:24 PM1 votes

Super agreed. People want to quit just because Kayle fed her laner... Even though this is Ranked and our team has two hypercarries counting Kayle. Like you realize we win almost automatically if you just keep your cool and stall right? Feeding lane and then popping off anyway is kind of Kayle's thing!

What if I'm in the mood for a nice competitive game of League, but not in the mood for one-sided stomps (which is the only type of game the matchmaker puts me in)?

5StackUltOneShot4/7/2019, 10:26:37 PM1 votes

I love when Im in a match and my M7 Riven dies once and decides to run it down because 'idc about this match their jungle is better'. IF YOU DONT CARE WHY ARE YOU PLAYING RANKED OR EVEN PLAYING TO BEGIN WTIH.

Also, if anyone does this look at their match history, I guarantee they've been playing for 5 hours in a row +

FullmuteAll play4/8/2019, 12:32:47 AM1 votes

I know ,but the issue is I have no idea what to play. There are no other game I know how to play. And I don't want to learn so much.

Just showing you other side of coin.

schoob4/8/2019, 2:02:56 AM1 votes

I agree with your point so much but honestly I can't have fun on any other multiplayer game so i'm stuck on LoL atm.
