Toxicness in games.

This is more of a question for the community. Do you feel like we just have to accept toxicness and really there is nothing we can do? I constantly get paired against people who feel the need to trash talk, and unfortunately my friends do it too. And it always gets to the point of toxic. I feel like I shouldn't even bother trying to report people because i know it is never going to do anything. Does anyone else feel that way? Is it just something we need to accept?

I feel the same way honestly, for the past couple of days I have been paired with toxic players that I have reported along with one of my friends doing the same, it seems like it never does anything. The only time it has ever worked is when me and 3 of my friends and some of the enemy team reported a toxic Shaco that no longer than 5 minutes later they were suspended. There is no point of the report system because you need almost both teams to report them for being toxic in which case most of the time no one reports them anyways.

If you think that reports don't really do anything, then... well, just read around this forum a little. There are plenty of people complaining about their chat restrictions and bans.

Basically, people who are chronically reported are given a warning. If the reports continue, their chat logs get reviewed. If the reports are verified, they start getting chat restrictions, followed by bans. Basically after the warning they are given three chances (two chat restrictions and a 2-week ban) to reform their behavior, and if they don't change then their account is permanently closed.

Hope this helps!

I'm kind of passive aggressive about it...some of these toxic players just use the game as an outlet due to their own personal frustrations

If you DON'T report then they WON'T be punished... that's the problem. People think that 'well they won't get punished so why bother' which only continues the BS. If you WANT it to stop, then report the people that are acting like jackasses, even if it's one of your friends.

"Do you feel like we just have to accept that people may be rude and do things we don't want them to and really there is nothing we can do about human nature?" Yeah, accepting that would probably be a better life choice.
