Strict Penalties for pregame lobby trolling. Riot Please

When somebody in the pregame lobby of a ranked game announces "i'm going to troll" and then picks something like Soraka for Jungle and bans a champion one of his teammates selected That person's account should be permanently removed from the game. That has to be one of the most unacceptable forms of grieving. It forces players to dodge and suffer due dodge penalties such as loss of LP or a loss of a series game. Or if you go through and play the game anyway and the person goes on to int feed exactly like they said they would then you lose more LP and you tilt. This whole process should never happen but unfortunately does. I want to know that people in RIOT Games are taking this issue seriously. They should be monitoring pregame lobby's as well as in game actions to put a stop to this extremely frustrating form of inting. Riot Please help get rid of this.

They do monitor both pre and post game lobbies. I can post proof if you want, next time just play through the game and report them. Then submit a ticket, you might be able to get lost lp back.

If I could see proof of this I would feel a lot better about it. I would honestly love if Riot did one of those "Ask Riot" things and they taught us how to appropriately deal with these kind of trolls. If there was an established way of (if you do this then Riot will be able to see the problem easier and take the appropriate actions)

But thanks for the advice Darkcastkiller, I didn't know there was a chance to get ur lp back for somebody intentionally trying to make their team lose. I just dodged and took the penalty but it was super frustrating that they were able to force a dodge out of a teammate just because they felt like being an ass.

The reform card isn't indicative of the actual behavior. You were intentionally feeding as Nunu by running it down bot and then AFKed.

You have a history of this type of behavior as well as playing Kench, and throwing people into the enemy. I will be escalating this to a ban.

The system does pick this stuff up. However, it isn't always easy for the system to decide what evidence to give in cases like this.

That is good to see :) I think Riot does a really good job all and all and have created a great game that many love. But I do think the most common complaint is the toxic nature of some of the players and the trolling. I really want to know that Riot is taking these issues seriously and continuing to develop ways to combat this. I think the new honor system definitely helped. But I think if PREgame lobby trolling was monitored and penalties enforced that would help improve the player experience.

I had one guy that was support and I was mid he str8 up said I'm the mid laner and I was like the hell you are so he locks in fizz cause he was first pick so.. I picked fiddle mid or support just in case if the game started.. then I was gonna support Or do what ever I could if fizz was a idiot. but I didn't wanna give in to some shitty ass troll. Didn't wanna make him think that he can call then auto lock when ever he chooses. But possible he thought he was in blind pick but he didn't say a word.. but Jhin took the bullet and dodged like a true hero! But I guarantee that fizz still doing his shit that he tried to pull on us. And making the people that follow rules and try to play the hame right are having to be penalized by dodging for this troll of a player.. Wish I would have remembered his name. They need to do something it's like a disease that won't stop spreading..

fyi picking something off meta is not bannable as long as you are trying to win the game

picking off meta and trying to win is fine. But in the pregame lobby picking off meta, banning your teammates champs that they highlighted they wanted to play, AND announcing the reason you are doing it is because you want to troll your teammates and make them lose to try and force a dodge.... that is crap.
