Except for League, what other game has maintained over 50 million average monthly players from all walks of life and all over the world for years and years?

Phantasy Star Online 2, Smite, Overwatch, and those are only the three that I've played lol

Many companies are against hate speech, Rainbow Six Siege is a game where you can easily get banned for toxicity.

Runescape did back in the day. They were pretty strict about trying to keep a good environment.

World of Warcraft

overwatch does. and unlike league which is free to play, you pay for overwatch and can STILL be banned. same for rainbow six siege. and smite does too, which is another Moba.

At my office, the circulation of racist memes got several people fired a couple months ago.

As for video games, League is somewhat unique in that it’s multiplayer-only and team based. Since players are forced to have and work with their team for 100% of their League experience, toxic chat is more damaging than, say, in World of Warcraft or other MMOs.

In the majority of other games out there, you are not required to stay in your parties if people piss you off - this is one of the main reasons why other games, like MMOs, aren't as strict about things people say (outside of outright hate speech). But games like MOBAs? You're locked in a match, and there's no real way to rotate people in and out if people leave. Tensions are high, you're basically locked in a room with 10 other people for 20-30 minutes. You HAVE to be amicable to those people, or it's going to become a colossal mess, so this is why games like League are so strict on you not being a diarrhea asshole in the game chat.

i didnt play many games, the main one i played as a kid was runescape. they had an ingame option. and even tho permaban was insanely hard to reach, mute for several days and short bans wasnt that uncommon.

4 story was another game (but thats the biggest piece of shit) where you could only report via support ticket and at least the german support was really lazy, you could get punished for something that happened 2 months ago.

aion is a special case. it was pretty new when i played it and the german mods were legit the biggest fucking nazis. you could report via support ticket, but they just randomly went through chatlogs of players and even if you were private talking with a friend and you said something they didnt like, they banned you. i called one of the mods (or more like admins) a nazi in a PM with a friend and i know that person didnt report me but i got a 4 week ban for it lol.

There are games that punish for typing, but not many are as strict as League

Arcade Lulu2/11/2019, 4:27:52 PM2 votes

If you don't want to get banned, don't be toxic Simple

Quáx2/11/2019, 5:38:07 PM1 votes

Dota, Overwatch, Rainbow 6 seige, Fallout 76 and its also becoming more prevalent in COD games since they have a beyond toxic community.
