Is this the worst the game has ever been?

I took a break for about half a year, and coming back, I'm fairly horrified at what I've found. Champion diversity is at an all-time low - every game has a Yi, and the game ends when he gets fed. To make matters worse, it would appear Riot actually nerfed some of the champions that could balance out the obviously overpowered champs, leaving a cast of about a dozen champions that are just absolutely faceroll.

Every game seems like a chore - you can't play the champions you like, because you'll just end up getting two shot by a Yasuo or Riven or Yi at 15 minutes. How has this game become so one dimensional and boring?

Wow, those downvotes without any actual comments. Can anyone mention a time in the game where it was worse? I'm genuinely interested here. I mean, issues with champions are fine since they will eventually be tuned. Lee being picked for all of a season isn't as bad as having the game with major issues not related to champions. Towers and death timers are the biggest offenders and they affect every game. Is this not a big deal?

Riot have kept it the same for quite a while now in this state. They did say they will address this, but it's going to take some time. It's like we're stuck in some strange abstract hell for the time being. ######That 30 minute+ death timer adjustment did nothing.

You can deal with Yi or Riven or Yasuo by doing one of the following: -Ban said champion -Play their counters -Stop seeing negativity bias

Yes. Not for any of the reasons you listed though, Dynamic que alone has made this the worst the game has ever been for me.

If Yi bothers you play support take exhaust and perma CC him in teamfights. This also works on Jax. This can win you the game outright.
