Does a 14 day ban really gets issued so fast?

So I got 14 days ban. This is my first ban ever, no restrictions whatsoever and it caught me off guard to say the least. This was a ranked game I was duo'ing with my friend.

These are the logs. Some context: I started raptors as a jungler. Kata leashed a Q and proceeded to pick up the dagger stealing 3 of my raptors, and me not hitting level 2 and almost dying to red buff.

So is 'kys' an instant 14 day ban? Me and my mates use it often as joke but Riot takes this as zero tolerance or something?

Yep, I had a decently negative attitude aside from the kys. Partly was because our Gangplank was spamming 'Kayn(me) - Alive) so I just responded by commenting on his plays. I muted him but the kayn - alive still went through.

This here is what led to the 14-day suspension. Encouraging self-harm is one of the more severe offenses in League of Legends and is something Riot has zero tolerance for, receiving an escalated minimum penalty of 14-days.

Note under the Punishment Tier system, you are on the 3rd of 4 tiers:

  • 10 Game Chat Restriction
  • 25 Game Chat Restriction
  • 14 Day Suspension from the Game
  • Permanent Ban

The 14 Day Suspension is considered a last warning, as any punishiable offense can lead to receiving a Permanent Ban. Furthermore you'll be more quickly judged for poor behavior until you show signs of reforming.

60% of the time, yes. And context doesn't matter. You're just damn lucky that this isn't an instant permanent suspension.

i got banned for saying report fizz for hating black ppl bc he said you fking N words and he said i hate black ppl i get banned for saying to report him and he gets nothing

you can mute pings as well, its next to the "speaker" button when you press tab.

14 day bans are 3rd tier punishment. The main way to get there is getting through a 10 game chat restrict and a 25(?) game chat restrict while continuing your negative behavior.

However, if you were especially toxic (homophobia, racism, "kys"), you can skip punishment tiers and head straight to the 14 day ban.

this reminds of that Tana Mongeu situation where Idubbz said the N word as a joke and she got T R I G G E R E D ultimately she was found to be a hypocrite and trying to fit in with the self righteous group
