Why Even Consider Voice Comms With People Like These....

I don't even need to explain what was said....and they think that adding voice commas would improve player coordination. No....no it wont, I would rather read G%%% than actually hear it. People need to realize that its just a game and not a therapy room to air your grievances. I do admit I haven't played for two days prior to this game and was a bit rusty, I was 2/12 as Bard support. But to tell me what was said is more than any of the reportable options.

I agree with you whole-heartedly on keeping voice comms out of this game. I really would rather not have to deal with screechers like in my Call of Duty days...

And yes, I realize you can just mute people. With so many awesome 3rd party voice communication programs (Discord, Ventrilo, Teamspeak, just to name a few) I think adding voice comms to league is wholly unnecessary.

Hello,

Name-and-shame isn't permitted on the boards. Reporting someone in the post-game lobby is the best way to bring them to Riot's attention. I have edited your post to remove the identifying information.

I would have to disagree with you. In fact, this is coming from someone who just had a negative experience with this last Sunday. Basically, in a ranked game, someone linked the driscord and I added him, then he started complaining about the smallest things he didn't like and then ended up being really toxic. This made me play worst. I later realized that, had I muted him earlier, I could have played better that game.

That being said, I would still support voice chat. The fact of how fast your communication is and how much easier to communicate, the advantage out weight the disadvantage.

  1. More information can be conveyed, and more accurate and specific.
  2. People that would have been toxic, could have solved if the player simply explained the difficulty that player was having.
  3. You can have the "mute 1 player" instead of "mute all" in voice chat, then problem solved.
  4. The potential of making friends.
  5. There's nothing toxic in voice chat that you cannot already do in text chat.
  6. Not have to choose between not typing or typing and affect your gameplay.

Totally agree. No voice comms. Discord is the way to go.

I think it would be fun to have voice comms, as long as the mute button is massive, bolded, highlighted, circled, and comes up whenever someone's volume goes above a certain mark. Just as a reminder that it's there.
