Let's be clear, i fully deserve the ban and i have no intentions of fighting back and trying to get my account unbanned. But i want to share with you guys something. i have spent around 2,100$ on league of legends. yeah i know i could buy a damn CAR with that much LOL! but that's not the point; i'll get to that in a second. with the 2,100$ i enjoyed countless hours of league of legends skins and all i could imagine and it was great. riot your game is AMAZING i love it. the competitivity, the skill cap on certain champions, the decision making, everything. except for one thing. The community. the community has absolutely ruined the game for me. It's hard for me to believe you guys accept the people who provoke toxicity from other players and then push out the players who have been provoked. I was one of those people; yes ME! and i know some comments are going to say "well you deserved it, the permaban is only after so many bans and once you get to that point it shows that you are not capable of changing" but heres the thing - i don't need the changing; the COMMUNITY DOES! i mean come on think about it. Riots expecting people to carry on with the game when someones running around with you stealing your farm in the jungle or running around telling people your location and NOT fight back when they talk crap about how you play? you can't be serious can you riot? i mean the rules state that there should be NO destructive/negative actions/attitudes and yet when there is any sort of evidence of that they have their robot system detect "keyword phrases" to ban "toxic players". its completely unfair and unjust and i just wish that a great game would have a great company behind it. you can't just expect people to put up with intentionally aggravating people when they're doing and saying crap to RUIN the game, and then ban them when they talk back. it just isn't fair. i've played this game since season 2 so in all honesty theres one thing that riot never seems to mention. People tend to get cranky. they're PEOPLE ffs i mean please we're HUMAN. we are not systems; we are not a perfect community (by any means); we are the league of legends community and its only like this because of how YOU'VE set it up to be. you want so much perfection, no this, no that, and when someone slips up and gets punished you expect them to behave like little children. well after so many years/months putting up with the same toxic community and same absolutely hideous atmosphere in ranked; WE SLIP UP! obviously the rules want perfection, but i'm pretty sure the community wants otherwise. we WANT to be able to talk shit in a videogame. we WANT to be able to tell our teammates to fuck off when they're being an asshole. and we WANT to tell our teammates to stop when they're flaming/intentionally assisting the other team. it just doesn't work the way you want it to riot. like christ when someones running down mid in your promos to DIAMOND the one thing in the game you've been working towards for years, you can't expect someone to sit there and take it calm headed. we only have so much time to play this damn game and we hate having it wasted by scumbags ruining the experience.

so yeah, my suggestion as a common (previous) league player, change the way you punish people so that it promotes a good healthy atmosphere and puts down provoking players. because right now its if someone provokes you, you just take it and wait until end of the game to report them. but meanwhile in the game keep a cool head while they deliberately ruin your experience; and thats just not right (imo).

maybe my logic is flawed, but this is definitely what i want and i'm 99% sure you guys do too. if there is any change maybe i'll start a new account but until then i'm saying goodbye to league of legends. great game, horrible punish system and community.

i rate 3/5

That's your opinion - and you're entitled to it - but "he provoked me" isn't going to become a valid excuse any time soon. League is like a movie theater: if two people get into a screaming match, the other customers don't care who started it.

we WANT to be able to talk shit in a videogame. we WANT to be able to tell our teammates to fuck off when they're being an asshole. and we WANT to tell our teammates to stop when they're flaming/intentionally assisting the other team.

That's what you want.

You knew the rules. You ignored multiple warnings. You deserve your ban.

gets punished you expect them to behave like little children.

No Riot expects the person to have learned from the previous warnings and to have self responsibility for their own actions like a mature individual.

right now its if someone provokes you, you just take it and wait until end of the game to report them

Mute. Report. Move on.

Muting prevents further harm to yourself.

Reporting help prevent harm to others.

Moving on is just good for your self and others.

Wait wait wait ..

let me get this right.

You are saying the community needs to change because the community is toxic. But then, you openly admit that you are toxic. and deserved the ban.

-.-

Seriously any one else find this hypocritical?

Seriously you are part of the problem, and you are banned..

the community is now slightly better.

yup. riot will never fix "toxic chat" with carrot and stick, they are fighting a symptom, not the cause

I agree that you shouldn't be permabanned for being toxic. BUT in defense of riot they have an option where you are allowed to mute players you dont wanna hear from, so if you really cant stand someone then mute them its that simple and it saves unnecessary confrontation. Also the phrase "its just a game" is so true. If your mood is being controlled by a game then idk what to tell you. But anyways stay triggered my friends RAWR XD.

Only no, that's not what the community wants. If it was then people wouldn't get reported, their logs wouldn't get scanned, and no one would get banned. The fact that people get banned for flaming means that this is what the community wants. The majority of people don't want to have this in their games.

Riot doesn't expect perfection, that's why there's so much leniency in the system. Riot and the League community expect for people to not be jerks and to learn from their punishments.
