ive been banned by trolls ( plz get this discussion some attention )

So, heres the thing. I was perma banned by riot. My first two games were completely justified, I was too pissed to realize how toxic I was being. However, my last game is the reason I got permaed, and it sucks because, if u go thorough and ask the people In that game, I got trolled by a duo the whole game and they reported me at the end of the game. and I got banned for a game that wasn't my fault if a rioter sees this, I know ur not gunna do shit about it and try to justify it on the first two games but I refuse to accept that If ppl like those trolls can go around unpunished fucking with people whenever they want, but I get perma banned because of said troll? no, that's just not okay

If you have been punished before with a total of 35 games of restricted chat, and a 14 week ban before receiving this permanent ban... Then the only person you can blame is yourself since you never improved your own behavior.

You can be banned for 1 game. It isnt a 3 strikes your out system.

No, that's not how the system works. You don't need 3 legit offenses to be punished. You can very well be banned for just one game, especially if your behavior is quite severe. Besides the system isn't designed to send you chat logs of every game you were punished for, only 1-3 of the more recent ones. There's very likely more games that contributed to your punishment that weren't sent to you size restraints.

With that said, though, if you really want to have a discussion about your ban, then you might want to post your chat logs that you received. Just because you think the last game wasn't a reason to be banned doesn't mean that's true. Even if you weren't toxic in the last game, though, it doesn't take away from the fact that you were toxic in the first two games, and because of those two games, the punishment is still justified.

That aside, you are never punished because of someone else's behavior, you are only punished for your own behavior. If others are trolling and being toxic towards you first, that doesn't mean you can be toxic back to them without any consequences. Retaliating against trolls does not solve anything, but rather just makes a bad situation even worse. In fact, if they really are trolls, then retaliating is literally giving them exactly what they want, a reaction out of you. When you encounter a troll, it's best to just ignore them and not give them any satisfaction, and then report them after the game. I know that's easier said than done, but it's definitely the best course of action

A single instance may not be severe, but many games of creating a negative environment for the other players adds up. That is why the punishment gets worse each time you decide to continue the behavior you were already punished for.

Are you saying you haven't received a 14 day ban and chat restrictions for similar behavior prior to this? Those contribute to this, too. While you aren't being punished multiple times for the same games, after you get punished you are on thin ice still until you've reformed for some time.

It'd be like going into work and slapping someone lightly each day; while it would probably get more or less overlooked the first time, you're going to end up with a restraining order if you keep doing it, even though it's relatively harmless. If you continued to do so after that the very next day the punishment could be quite severe.

Well, unless you show us the chat logs, there's no way for us to know. Even if it wasn't that severe, though, my main point is that you don't need 3 legit offenses to get a punishment, only 1. The thing is, though, your account generally doesn't get reviewed unless you reach a certain threshold of reported games, which generally leads to multiple bad games.

Also, as far as why this punishment was a permanent ban, it's very likely due to your history with the punishment system. There are 4 tiers of punishments, and every time you are punished you move up one tier, regardless of how minor the offense may have been, though it is possible to skip tiers with severe enough behavior. More than likely you have already gone through the other 3 tiers (2 sets of chat restrictions and a 14 day suspension), which means that a permanent ban is the standard next punishment.

If you haven't had any punishments prior to this, then Riot and the system likely thought that your behavior was severe enough to escalate to a permanent ban, which again we can see if that's the case if you post the chat logs.

To my knowledge, the amount of games played in total on an account doesn't really matter. What matters is mainly how frequently you are being toxic. If you were to be toxic for say 7 games in a row, it wouldn't matter if you had played 10, 100, or even 1000 games before that without being toxic, you are still very likely to be punished by the system because the toxic games are all in a row, showing that the behavior is starting to be consistent and more frequent.

However, if those 7 toxic games were spread out over the course of all the games you had played, like say 200 positive games, 1 toxic game, 200 positive games, 1 toxic game, etc., then it's not likely that you will be punished because the toxic games are a lot more spread out and it's quite infrequent.

Hope this clears it up a little bit.

lesser about "was it severe" nowadays.

more about "is it punishable", and if the answer is yes, then it will work it's way to building a case to punish you and going up the following punishment tiers:

10 game chat restrict
25 game chat restrict
14-day ban
permaban

So if you were 14-day banned, then your next punishment would be a permaban, severe or not.

If it was severe, it can skip punishment tiers.

No, you were banned because reports triggered a review of your in game actions which were found to be ban worthy. It has nothing to do with who reported you or some arbitrary number of games.

Here's how it works: if you are reported in a large enough percentage of your games, a system reviews your chat and in game actions and determines if a punishment should be issued

Notice how I said your. The system doesn't give two shits what else was happening, it looks at your actions and yours alone.

These 3 games wouldn't have landed a permanent ban on your account. The reform card only shows up to 3 games though but it's a trend of this behavior which would have lead to the permanent ban.

They actually do after the system reform it used to be 10 chat ban 25 chat ban 2 week then perma but now for special cases they jump to perma ban.

For extreme cases of toxicity, yes.

It's important to note that system still issues punishments in the tiers you mentioned and was designed with the very same update to skip tiers for extreme cases.

Game 1

A lot of arguing and insulting in this game. Even if the Darius was trolling you, his actions do not excuse your own, and I'd say that your behavior in this game is punish worthy. You're arguing with the Darius pretty much all game and just adding your own negativity to the situation, which simply makes it worse. As I mentioned in my first post, when you encounter a troll, it's best to ignore them and report them after the game. I know this can be quite difficult most of the time, but it is better than retaliating with your own toxic behavior.

Game 2

Not incredibly bad, though you do call the Aurelion Sol shit which really is unnecessary.

Game 3

I believe this is the one you admit was your fault.

the first game, I don't understand, when I say troll, I don't mean his build or anything, he was legitately in essence trolling he was in all chat with his friends saying I was calling them retarded, saying they should die, and everyone just ganged up against me and I got x9 which Is why I think its unfair

When a player trolls you, it's best to mute them. If you call them out on it once and they don't stop, don't fight them, just mute and play. This way your record stays clean while they are still eligible for a report.

Also, 1 report for 1 game has the same value as up to 9 reports for 1 game. The system doesn't care how many times you're reported for one game and it doesn't increase the likelihood of a player being punished.

The only way a player will be punished is if they exhibit toxic behavior. False reports will be thrown out by the system and future reports from false reporters will be taken lightly by the system.

The system investigates the reports submitted (i.e reviews your logs, your chat your KDA etc.). If the system finds instances of toxic behavior, punishments will follow. If the system doe not find instances or enough instances of toxic behavior, the reports are ignored.

If the Darius and his friends were lying to the enemy team about what you were saying, that doesn't matter. As long as you don't do anything wrong, their reports won't hurt you. Reports alone do not cause punishment, they only trigger a review of your account, and if nothing is found during the review, then no punishment is given.

However, your response to the situation wasn't all that great. The Darius was being toxic towards you, but then you retaliated and started being toxic back towards him. Doing this does not solve anything. It only makes the situation worse as well as making any reports against you in that game valid. As already been mentioned, it's best to mute players like this and not retaliate, that way they are eligible to be reported and reports against you will be false.

You can, but I can already say that it's really not going to do anything. Riot will only lift a punishment if it was given in error, and I highly doubt Riot will think that this is an error.

However, if you want to try anyway, or if you want to contact Riot directly for any other reason, the best way to do so would be to submit a support ticket here:

I'm sorry, but your response to me only said "Is there any way I can ask for an appeal?" That's it, and I answered the question. You did not ask how you could get Riot to look at their behavior, so I didn't answer that.

However, if you do want to report them outside of the in-game report system, then my answer still applies. You can submit a support ticket under the categories I mentioned.
