I have figured out where the toxic behavior comes from and the cause.

The game. is. the. cause.

Between it freezing and unbalanced horsesh*t. It generates rage. Why? Because people who want to play this game in a fun and fair matter have to deal with unbalanced champions and other software errors.

anyway........

Incorrect. Immaturity causes toxicity.

I think there is also the fact that people don't know if other people are trolling or just having a bad game because they can't see them irl so they assume it's trolling.

Its not the unbalance that causes it, but the fact that you are punished for teammates fucking up.

can't wait to have to take a 5 month break from league once the new masteries come out. Don't entirely agree with this thread, but irritating champions DO generate toxicity.

But toxic players are by no means restricted to League, or similar games with similar premises.

So the cause, wherever and whatever it is, isn't League itself, at least it's definitely not the sole or majority contributor to the problem. League is more like the catalyst to the problem, than being the problem.

Hilarious, the toxic posters here, Big Piece and Mushroom Midget, are correct, they just put it in a poor whiny voice.

League is a tense game. You have to stay for up to 60 minutes. You have to rely on your team, who are not always the best, and you can't leave. You can be countered in lane, you can meet a one trick Riven main. One of your teammates can be having a bad day. And if your internet goes out, you get a punishment, which while understandable can be annoying.

All these things make League a rough game. And the reason why it is so important to have toxicity as low as possible.

Always take a break after a couple bad games of League.

Nah man. Games where you interact with other people in a casually-competetive way are the medium.

Its clearly the people, not the game.

you are right the game is the creator of most of the toxicity.

snowballing, autofill, and matchmaking all contribute to making an extremely toxic game but the biggest of all without a doubt is leaverbuster. in this game no matter how frustrated you are, no matter how bad the game is going for you, no matter how many trolls or afks are on your team, you cant leave.

nothing is more toxic than that. any other game if you are having a bad time you turn it off and instantly start to feel better. not this one.
