U are right. This shouldnt be chat restriction. 14 days ban would be more appropriate.

You weren't suspended for that one incident. You've got a history of this or Riot wouldn't have suspended you. Take this as your final warning. You continue to act like this in the game, the next step is your account being banned until the year 9001. Do you want that? Then you'd better clean it up. Because that is what will happen.

If I were you, I'd stop talking in chat. Yell at your monitor if you want (provided those in your household can tolerate that kind of thing.) Or better yet, turn your chat off so you don't risk loosing your venom on anyone else.

from my own personal experience, i have my pissy games and I don't receive punishment because I'm not reported consistently, it's only every now and then, and my PMS week is my worst because I'm 10x's more bitchy over nothing, but I don't use it as a crutch to be a bitch in game, I just try to tone it down and simply don't type in chat.

I should elaborate further. The OP has gone from the warning stage to the suspension stage. If after being suspended a few times they haven't cleared up their act, they'll be banned. I didn't mean to make it seem like after ten days they will be outright banned.

Just be glad it's a 10-game chat restriction - I'm sure we've all had at least 10 games where we've said little to nothing because we honestly were in a terrible mood those few days.

Trust me, I'd rather have a 10-game chat restriction than any other form of punishment. Of course, I understand the lack of Season rewards, but this is Preseason, right?
