Part 2. Jenny711 is a boss and reduced my permanent ban to a 2 week ban. INSPIRATINOAL

So I made one post here on the forums, asking you guys if my permanent ban was right. A LOT of you said it was, but some said it wasn't. regardless, I sent in a ticket to RIOT support asking to basically get my permanent ban lessened to a chat restriction, but they gave me a 2 week ban instead. Here is an exact (a couple things edited just for personal reasons, but nothing important at all was edited) copy and paste of the entire ticket up to this point. I'm assuming they will close the ticket and send maybe a reply along the lines of "good luck, don't be toxic". Keep in mind, I was very angry and childish when i sent in the support ticket. Im surprised they gave me the chance lol.

Ticket title: I got permanently banned, for literally 1 line.

GODOFWRATH March 29th 2019, 6:17:10 pm The only bad thing i said was i said our nunu was a troll because he LITERALLY ran into the enemy team and told them to kill him in all chat. I was supportive the entire game, trying to be nice and the jinx and nunu kept flaming the whole team, being toxic, inting, calling everyone trash, and being absolutely horrible. What I said was NOTHING on that scale. This doesnt warrant a permanent ban! Its literally the day after my 2 week ban, and theyre trying to say what i said for my 2 week ban was less than this???? My 2 week ban was a better reason to get banned than this. Why not just chat restrict me? I wasnt intentionally feeding, I wasnt trolling, i did nothing negative in the game gameplay wise. it was all chat. Im fine with being chat restricted, but ive paid a lot for content in this game that I love and play with all of my friends and brothers, and im getting banned because I called our intentionally feeding and trolling jungler a troll? This isnt fair at all. I swear to god ill mute all every single game for a year. Just chat ban me, id be totally fine with that.

And to be honest, I dont even think it was directed to anyone. I think it was because I missed my Leona ult on a wukong at our botside inhibitor tower. Like, I get that since I was already 2 week banned before that you guys will be watching my account more closely, but this isnt even close to as bad to what I said in the 2 week ban I recieved. This is just wrong.

I know it sucks to get a permanent ban. I took a look to see what happened and while I know it was in response to them, know that this is something we penalize for. I'm not saying what they said was okay because it definitely wasn't, but the manner in which you responded wasn't okay either. Responding back to them isn't the kind of behavior we want to encourage. When you respond back you're not actually helping the situation but actually you're putting your own account as risk to be penalized. I do want to work with you to see if there's something that could be done but we need to make sure we're on the same page.

Thanks for giving me an actual person to person encounter. I've never had a punishment in any game, so this was a really big shock. I knew I should have just done a quick /muteall when the game started but I guess I thought I could keep a cooler head than I did. Obviously, that was a mistake. Also thank you for letting me work with you and say my piece. Although I don't really like some of RIOT's stuff, I love the way you guys do support. I remember like a year ago I sent in a merch request and everyone that replied was super fun and friendly. Anways, enough sucking up from me.

[7:21] GodOfWrath (Leona): because u over stayed - This was just because my Jinx was yelling at me trying to blame me for her death, although I pinged her to recall back to the fountain like I did. This wasn't meant to be a toxic statement, and I don't think we were even fighting at this point. Regardless, I see how she could get mad at the statement because it implies i'm flaming her for not recalling back to the base sooner. I would say this broke the code in a way that seemed like I was trying to tear her down or blame.

[7:24] GodOfWrath (Leona): not from the fight - This was just a part 2 to the statement above, saying that the play I tried to initiate wasn't the cause of her death. It wasn't a toxic message.

[7:48] GodOfWrath (Leona): chill the fuck out kid - Obviously, this was definitely toxic of me to say. I missed an ability and she started to spam ping me and got mad in chat. This was definitely a tear down moment. Me telling her to calm down while simultaneously cussing at her, will do anything but calm her down. It definitely made her mad. Also could be considered a rage moment for me.

The Jinx was just flaming in chat, calling everyone trash and being very toxic/negative, saying how the game was already over, saying gg in chat like she was going to give up or go afk. That's what I feared anyways. I wanted her to stop flaming everyone and just play the game instead of focusing on tearing everyone else down; however I ended up doing the same thing I was trying to prevent in the process. This was negative from me and id say it was me trying to tear her down, although I really did just want her to focus on the game itself.

[8:51] GodOfWrath (Leona): THE LANE BARELY STARTED - Jinx was saying gg, wanted to give up and I was trying to motivate her by saying the lane barely started. This wasn't intended to be a toxic message. More of a "the game just started, we can turn this around" kind of message.

[8:54] GodOfWrath (Leona): YOU CANT EVEN CS - Definitely me being negative, along the lines of dont tear people down, and dont blame. I was kind of mad that she was blaming everyone else on the team when even she wasnt performing well. She was significantly behind the enemy adc when her character should be winning hands down. I was mad she wasn't good at farming the minion wave, which is one of the biggest things an adc needs to be good at. Definitely negative on my part.

[15:53] GodOfWrath (Leona): quit flaming - This was just me trying to tell my team to quit flaming each other. I wasn't intending to be negative with this message. I was trying to get my teammates to just stop yelling at each other in chat, which I will be guilty of doing later in the game.

[16:54] GodOfWrath (Leona): oh my fucking god - This was just something I said in chat, basically to myself. Our jungler Nunu ran down the middle of a lane and said "kill me" in all chat to the enemy team, trying to intentionally feed the enemy team. This was me raging, but not specifically at someone.

The second line was me clarifying that I didn't want them to report Jinx, but report the Nunu instead. Although Jinx was being toxic, she wasnt intentionally feeding at this point and I was hoping by saying not to report Jinx, her attitude would change. I would say this was me raging/tearing down the Nunu for inting.

Jinx was calling everyone trash and making the rest of us feel bad about our ranks while we were silver and she was gold. I did call them assholes though so i was definitely raging and tearing them down.

[20:18] [All] GodOfWrath (Leona): get these kids off of this game - This was me wanting the enemy team to report the 2 on my team. I'd say I wasnt working with the team, and tearing them down. Angry about everyones behavior.

Sorry for all of the really long replies. Probably gonna be a pain in the butt to read... Sorry again. Basically they were all attempts to tear down the Jinx and Nunu out of my own anger. It was definitely wrong, I know.

When we're playing such a tense game where every little thing matters, every minion, tower, kill, chat can go a long way. When we're having a rough game and things aren't going the way they should, the type of chat displayed by me is bound to light some peoples fuses VERY fast, my own included. When a teammate sees that their other teammates are fighting, and flaming each other in chat, it doesn't motivate them to keep doing their best and makes them assume the game is lost. It's definitely hard to play a game that's so competitive when everyone is mad and yelling at each other.

I think it's an important question because it helps me realize that everything that's said is going to affect another persons game. When I realize that I can drag a whole team down and ruin their game and attitude, it makes me feel ashamed. That I could be the guy that ruins this game for others. Nobody wants to be that person. Unless you're just flat out heartless.

Again, I know what I said was very negative and shouldn't have been said. I'm not expecting this support message to get me unbanned (that would be absolutely friggin dope though), but if it did, I actually would want a chat restriction. I know, this dude is asking for chat restriction. I need to learn to keep a level head and not fight back with my own team or opposing team. However many games/days, i'll welcome it and won't complain an ounce.

I am glad to hear you recognize how your behavior negatively affected others. League is a game after all and games are supposed to be fun for everyone. I know it's hard to tell because we can't see faces or emotions but there is indeed another human being on the other side of the screen even if we might not always feel like it. I understand negative things happen in the game but we always have a choice in how we decide to respond.

Please answer these scenario questions.

1. If you were in a scenario where other players were being negative and saying certain negative things, how would you respond? For example, let's say others are saying how this game is over and they're just constantly calling out everyone in the game. They're blaming others over and over and about how champions are imbalanced and just being a huge distraction. What would you do?

2. If other players were trolling or intentionally feeding, how would you respond? If for example, someone stole your role and ran into the enemy tower over and over, how would you respond?

3. Others are doing poor and dying a lot but they're doing their best. You find yourself getting frustrated because this is your last promo series. You're having a stressful day and things are getting heated. How do you respond?

GODOFWRATH March 30th 2019, 8:25:25 pm Thanks for replying, this is honestly making me really happy. Plus im at work right now and this is helping relieve stress lol. Anyways:

1. I would try to help in the kindest way I can. Maybe give them tips on how to play against a certain laner, or if theyre just being negative then I would try to tell them how we can still win the game and what we can do to make the game easier. If theyre still being negative after that, I would mute them and continue to focus on my part of the game, and send a report after the game has ended.

2. Theres nothing I can do when people are intentionally feeding or stealing picks. If they steal a pick, I can just dodge the lobby and go for the next lobby. I would get a small timer but I wouldn't have to stress myself out for a whole game, or risk being negative. If we were in game already, the only thing I can do is focus on my game and my role, and try to make up for their gameplay. Of course, I would try to ff at 15 or 20 to get out sooner but I wouldnt give up until then. After the game, obviously I would send in a report.

3. I never flame people for being new. If theyre just having a hard time, theres nothing I can get mad at. Maybe just give them a few tips, gank their lane and try to be helpful. I have bad games too so I know what its like to just have a rough lane.

Thanks for answering those questions!

1. I would actually say muting them is best. Don't even bother responding to them. The reason is because those small comments can lead to big arguments which could easily have been prevented if nothing was said in the first place. If others on your team are focused on their negativity, try to draw their attention by calling out things in the game.

2. If other players are going to troll or intentionally feed, there's not a whole lot you can do to stop them. After all, you can't control them and you can only control how you respond. I recommend just muting them and ignoring them. Do your best and focus on the game and report them after. We'll investigate and take appropriate action. Your one report is all that's required to trigger a review.

3. If other players do poor, it's better to try to lift them than to put them down. They're already upset about themselves doing poor. They don't need more harm to be added. Though, sometimes players might take things wrong. Just be mindful about what you say and if things go negative, mute them.

Alright. I want to help you but you need to promise that there will never be any negativity ever again and that you will always do your best no matter how bad the situation looks. (type this out specifically)

If you are given a final chance, it will be a two-week suspension and will not be changed. Additionally, please be aware that since this is a final chance, if there are any further signs of negativity, it will result in a permanent ban. Even if it's a year or two years down the line, if there's any negativity, no matter how small, it will result in a permanent ban. Do you agree?
