fun fact about matchmaking

Q: who will win more games - an honorable player who does his best to help his team win every game, or a troller who intentionally feeds in 1/3rd of his games but tries to win the rest?

A: in a matchmaking system everyone wins the same 50% rate. in this example the intentional feeder would still win the same amount as the other player. in fact it would barely effect his mmr to throw 1/3rd of them. it would just give him easier matchups for the others he is trying to win.

Honorable player- sitting at or around 50% win rate. Will win approximately 50 out of every 100 games. Dishonorable player- In games they try they have a 50% win rate, in games they int they have a 0% win rate. That means they will win 33 out of 100 games (33 int losses and 50% of the other 67 games).

One of these players will climb, the other will not. I don't know how you came to your conclusion but for a player starting 33 games in the hole to win 50 games they would need a 75% win rate in games they try (good luck).

Doesn't Riot say some BS fact like "33% of honorable players win more of their games than toxic players"?

I don't think it's "fun fact" when it's mostly a speculation/deduction on your part.

Why not just git gud and win 60% of the games without throwing any games?

Matchmaking is totally broken, because there IS a 50% win-loss ratio. That's why you (almost) always find ridicoulosly easy games, or impossible ones; balanced games are a joke. Just look at everyone's match history, yours too.

I bet Mushroom thinks beating Kobe Bryant in a 1v1 basketball game is the same as beating a random 5 year old too.
