Why does ranked make me so toxic

as a competitor i want to win, when i feel as if others aren't trying to win or putting in the effort i am, it can be frustrating. Besides muting everyone what are tips you all do to reduce tilting and potentially typing more than you should?

I know there is a mute button but even when i use it, it seems to tilt that specific teammate to doing other annoying things aka running into my lane taking xp/cs , fighting when its an un-even matchup..

I try to type out our win condition as a team. It’s helped a few times to have people stop doing random actions and instead focus together.

A lot of the times (especially where I’m at in silver) everyone wants to be the hero but they don’t know exactly what to do besides run and try and get a penta. So by saying “if we group and make space for adc” or “we just need to stay alive and have a fight at dragon” people will fall into line. Doesn’t work every time but it’s more useful and has helped save me a few games that might have been loses.

Also saying things that are constructive help. Like instead of saying “great bot fed” you can say “we need to pick off the adc because he’s strong”. It keeps people from feeling critized and at the same time you still get your overall message out that someone is fed.

A mix of anonymity, and a high pressure desire to win, and the natural human aversion to loss.

Basically [ Knowing you'll gain LP + seeing team mates doing poorly + and then a possible realization you'll lose LP = Chance's you'll become toxic]

Aside from that could be one's lack of basic communication, or the lack of the ability to communicate with team mates. In any amount of truths, there are many factors that can lead to ones toxic behavior.

In my honest opinion, I would advise taking a break from ranked, and try and play something that is fun be it switching to a couple of quick games of ARAM, or find something fun outside of the League of Legends to do.

I hope this helps,

What I do is play happy music, cant tilt If i'm listening to some good jams. Moreover, I know losing is really hard but try to look at the match in its current status; what is your current win condition, to get drag, to four man gank their adc before the fight? try to find the weak point within the enemy and exploit it.

Either hard carry or convince your team to try harder.

You either need your team or you don't.

Though the rankings in this game are really messed up for the majority of players. It can very well be possible that you won't find actual competitive game play. In which case, I would actually suggest not playing, because you aren't going to have fun.

Dont even need to read what u said to simply reply with - This game is toxic, this community is toxic, people in general are toxic. Nothing u say or do will ever change that. just expect it.

made chat super tiny (in settings) focus on your play. use chat to only call out and give some advice to team.examples: like lets not run into jung that isnt warded. or wait for adc. lets kill yi first. etc
