Champion select banning and reserving

Why are players able to temporarily choose the champion they wish to play before their actual choice, if their own team mates can still ban that champion. In an environment where players have to pay through some form of currency for champions, and then those champions are further limited when you cant play one because your own team mate bans it is poor logic, and quite frankly, I would call it lazy coding, but I doubt its the coders. Its probably a scheme to get more $. That is at least what players such as myself are led to believe.

Being that their is no form of one on one communication regarding enhancement requests (especially for paying players), I will try here, however I expect the simple logic to be ignored. In Champion Select, prior to picking champions, if a player pre-selects a champion, that champion should be grayed out to other team mates. This would prevent other players or multiple players for competing for the same champ (first come first serve), and team mates from banning what their team mate wants to play. Lastly, it would also prevent some of the bad language and un-do frustrations from the players.

Riot's not going to do this as there are plenty of legitimate reasons to ban a champion that a teammate is hovering over. Say you're last pick and the enemy team has first pick, and you hover over the current FoTM OP champion. Now I nor anyone else on the team can ban that champion to prevent the enemy from taking it, and when it comes time to pick the enemy team picks the champion that you hovered over, meaning you can no longer take it.
