The Report System is Broken

So it seems that you can be reported when u haven't even said anything, and get a chat restriction, this is allowing all trolls to spam reports and getting honest players in trouble. Not sure how this is acceptable but i'm sure it makes a lot of people not want to play. If you have been reported for doing nothing wrong and still got chat restriction, please post. This is absolutely ridiculous what is going on.

You can report anyone for any reason.

You won't get chat restricted without a reason.

[slayer-jinx-catface] Good luck in life kid.

Unlike you I'll probably never get a chat restriction based on my behavior in-game up to now, your reactions are making it all too clear why this happened, why not confess? This is starting to feel like a troll thread meant to try to confuse people (had that feeling when I first read it tbh).

The only way you can be reported that I know of for not talking is if you also don't use or respond to pings (assuming you didn't cause other problems, like feeding intentionally, or stealing buffs from your JG out of spite, things like that), I'm not entirely sure if that's accurate though.

This may just be an automation issue where enough people report you over time for not communicating at all. If you were at least pinging & being a team player you should be fine. If so you should be able to resolve it as others have said by sending in a support ticket or something.

Might want to chill out, so far it feels like you're lying.

Another one? Goodness. Lyte, we really need to make a sticky about false reports.

For someone who knows the facts behind this (I don't), is there ever a situation where you DON'T get a log of what happened that resulted in the chat restriction? Will they really punish without any reason given at times? I've seen examples of people posting their logs from having received 14 day bans. Just wondering if the OP is right in what they're saying.

Your impatience is telling.

I totally agree. I had someone I play with regularly get a chat restriction after a recent game we were playing when he said nothing in the chat other than calling the lane, saying things like "no flash mid, ignite down on lulu" etc. and all because our team thought that giving out important information like that was spam.

You call that an essay? I've written far longer things in a short amount of time. It's clear you deserved this restriction.

Your post was on the front page earlier, I happened to see it and thought maybe I could help someone who deserved it, you do not.

You sure are good at describing yourself.

It was quite clear from the beginning you are either intentionally trolling on a smurf account, or you are actually on your main account but somehow managed to get a chat restriction at level 7, something I've never heard of happening.

Either way, it doesn't affect me, you either deal with Riot, or you essentially admit your guilt, and accomplish nothing.

If you're trolling, you're also terrible at that, and I happen to have taken joy throughout my time on the internet toying with trolls, though they don't usually understand what's being done to them until it's too late.

Yawn, next deserved ban/troll topic please.

You must be in the age of 10-12 range if you consider these essays. Takes like 1-2 minutes to type that & my previous "essay" up and correct it without a spellcheck.

If you have a chat restriction, you should have received a reform card that shows your chat logs. You should be able to access this either from your e-mail or from the client when you try to log in to your account. If you can't find it, you can contact player support and ask them for the chat logs.
