You can get reported and banned for having a negative attitude in a game??? Like please someone tell me this is a joke. It's not just what RIOT wants. Most of the behavioral penalties arise from the OVERWHELMING vote of those who participated in the tribunal and those that report well.
"Who gives a shit?" The entire community and for sure your teammates that reported you and have a problem with it.
Regardless of whether you think it is mature to act like a jerk or not, Riot does not agree with you, and you will be banned if you break their rules.
Follow the rules, or get kicked out, that is the only thing at issue here.

Negative attitude can be things like verbal abuse, using destructive criticism your teammates (e.g. "wtf are you building, are you stupid or something?), or even blaming your teammates for a lost game (e.g. "this game is already over, thanks for ruining it").
Also, telling others to kill themselves can be considered negative attitude. Basically, anything that makes you sound like an unpopular and intolerable jerkbag in real life is considered negative attitude.
