Can we actually do something about afks?

I was in gold 2 last season, and now its a new season and i wanted to get to plat. So i jump on league and play out my provisionals. and I'm getting stuck with afks. played 8/10 games and 4 of them had afks in the first 10 minutes, and i would've won all of those games too. Why has matchmaking gone dogshit now that its a new season? i never had afks last season but now its a new season and now that im in my provisionals im getting afks 24/7. Not sure if its because you only get a 5 minute ban timer so they don't care or if its something else, but something seriously needs to be done to fix this BS.

everyone is afking in all modes a lot more. 3 reasons why:

game got buggier and is dropping players more often. Server lag is also bad
reporter tool is innefective and weak, players simply afk knowing they can play an alt account or shrug of light bans.
Since one sided games and snowballing are waaay out of control and damage is insane, people give up more easily. they just stop trying knowing its over 5 minutes. a lot of people see a broken champ and just give up. I never AFK, but i want to all the time. When im Velkoz and I just dont get to play because the enemy yasuo windwalls all 4 of my abilities and my basic attack, then 1 shots me? who even wants to be part of that?

I HAVE AFK'S 24/7 AND ITS THE MOST TILTING SHIT EVER. I lose 27 LP and win 12 LP in diamond. FUCKINGG BULLSHIT. I get a 3 win streak and then ONE AFK suddently i got 9 LP after 3 hours of LOL JUST BECAUSE OF ONE AFK!
