chat restricted for saying "bronze 5"?

I was just hit with a 10 game chat restriction and honor penalty to level 1 because I responded to two people in my games hurling homophobic slurs and insults at each other and myself by calling them bronze/noobs. Really? What is the difference between "banter" or "competetive bs'ing" and calling someone bronze or a noob? Both of these terms and worse gets typed into live games being streamed on twitchtv everyday being watched by tens of thousands of players, and I have the twitch clips to prove it. Are those people getting chat restricted? No? Makes sense. I even got an instant feedback report saying that at least 1 of those 2 people who were flaming in my game got punished as well because I obviously reported them for constantly spamming profanity. I did not say a single word or acronym of an insulting nature other than calling them bronze and noobs. I know I was not in the right either by becoming involved in those toxic individual's argument, but is it really fair to punish me for simply calling someone a noob or an actual rank in the game that they are/have been? Is it bannable to call a diamond player a 'diamond 5' then? I don't expect the penalty to be reversed because I know you guys never do that, but can I at least receive clarification or a list of prohibited terms so that I can actually chat without getting banned? If I am going to get banned for calling a gold 5 player a 'gold 5', I may as well uninstall now and spend my time and money on a game where facts aren't considered insults.

Can we see your chat logs? Everything other people said is irrelevant, all that matters is what you said. It's very unlikely that you got a chat restriction based off of that alone.

You need to stop harrassing your teammates, nobody wants to put up with that shit, so they reported you.

I was being a bit passive-aggressive here or there, but that is actually all I said. Here is the chat log from that game. There was constant insult spamming at me between each of the things I said, so you can see my progressing frustration. Is the only way to play this game to just /muteall and pray communication isn't required in a team-based game?

There is nothing positive about your chat. Nothing.

If this is indicative of how you normally are in a game then, yes, I can see why you got a chat restriction.

Instead of harassing your team about their skills why don't you do literally anything else. Say nothing, that would be better.

When did I claim to be some saint of positivity that can never get tilted? I know I wasn't in the right for that game, I am simply stating the FACT that I used no offensive words or terms other than "bronze 5" and "noobs" which were somehow enough to trigger the auto-punish system, which to me seems a bit extreme considering half the things certain streamers get away with typing into their chats on live stream with a massive audience.

The key is to not be a jerk. Your entire chat is negative. You rank shame and call out your teammates errors all game long. It's awful.

I'm saying that's not the only thing you said. Everything in your chat was negative and contributed to your punishment. Until you understand that you won't understand why you're being punished. In which case you'll be back complaining about your 25 game chat restriction.

It's not a series of magic words that get you chat restricted*. It's abusing the chat to create a negative environment for your team.

LOL are you actually reading the same words as I am? Hate speech? encouragement to self harm? What are YOU talking about? I said nothing of the sort. Additonally, as much as you'd like to ignore the point about streamers, that is EXACTLY my point. It is borderline discrimination, or treating players unequally at the least. To ignore it is to attempt to change the discussion and my original point completely. I know you are probably upset I used "bronze 5" in a condescending manner since that is the rank your profile currently states you are, so for that I apologize.

The IFS is an automate system. It does not pick and choose who it scans for toxicity. If someone get reported, it scan the chat and determine if the person who got reported get punished or not. It literally cannot/will not differentiate between you and any of the streamers.

With that said, the IFS will only scan chat if a person is reported. No report = no IFS = no punishment. Most of the more famous streamers are known to the people they play with (smaller queue pool). A lot of the time, they do not get reported by the people they play with even if they are toxic in chat. Again, no report = no IFS = no punishment. YOU do not get the same benefit because the people you play with dont know you.

Another thing you need to make clear is whether the streamers are toxic in-game or in stream. There is a significant difference. If they are toxic in game, that is Rito domain and responsibilty. If they are toxic out of game and only scream slur on the mic or Twitch chat, that is Twitch domain and responsibility. You need to go complain to Twitch. Rito has no ground to punish players for what they do not inside their server or game.

I understand the differences. I understand the difference between twitch and league as both programs and companies. I am talking about things said within in-game chat by streamers to other players very obviously NOT within any kind of friend circle.

As I've explained, it depends on whether or not the streamer get reported. That is not Rito being biased against you vs streamers. That is on the players based. Nothing Rito can or will do about that. Rito is not going to force people to report everyone, so your beef is with the people you play with, not Rito.

One of us has a reading comprehension problem and it ain't me.

When someone puts a * in a sentence and then has another sentence at the end with a * it's a footnote to that sentence. Essentially I was saying that there are no magic words to get chat restricted, but that certain words/phrases can skip the chat restriction tiers and go directly to a 14-day ban.

I'm bronze 5. I don't got a problem with that. You clearly do though if you're being matched with B5 and are trying to rank shame them in game. I don't enjoy ranked and I don't care about my rank, so I don't play ranked. That B5 is for 3v3 because sometimes I'd rather be stomped on that map then play against bots. My rank has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

And, again, the issue is your negative attitude and the way you interact with people in chat.

zPOOPz rather succinctly summed up the issue of streamers.

Calling someone Bronze is basically an insult at this point, considering how many high tier players like to take the worst of that tier and, very successfully, paint it as the entire tier skill level
