I have no idea why riot punishes verbal abuse much more strict than actual abuse. I can't even say any negative words to abusers b/c I fear ban. How can human always be cool to others ruining our games? And also how can people know all the summoner rules about chatting which are pretty subjective? Does riot want us to be robots with out emotion? I'm really confused.

no bananas de ice is right. Riot expects us to not get upset by it and then if we say anything negative. We instead get penalized. There's a mute button built into the game. Riot shouldnt be banning people for anything related to verbal abuse. Riot is literally just a bunch of pussies who can't handle any "mean words". They need to ban the real problem. The troll. Thats just far too hard from them. Penalizing someone for trolling hardcore would be way more useful then penalizing someone for some words that can be muted. no. The mute button isnt salvaging anything. Its there for that exact reason like its been in every game. To mute people. If they wanted to save a game "ruined by toxicity" They wouldn't allow chat at all and would just use pings. Chat is allowed and the mute is there if you dont want to deal with the chat b/c you arent strong enough to read a couple of words and not let them impact you lmfao. Lets take the dudes money he spent and game away b/c he said some mean words and the other player who was 2/30 got upset. Lmfao Riot is a joke

It's not a need for drama. The typical flame from anyone is something along the lines of don't be diving in 1 v 5 dipshit. Youre throwing the game for us b/c your ass. The person flaming here is clearly trying to win and the other is clearly making obvious enough mistakes

I don't disagree with you there. There is always a positive way to do it. When someone is trying their best to win though and somebody else continues to make a repeat mistake. Some flame is going to come out. You've done it. I've done it. We've all done it. It shouldn't be gameplay bannable. Threatening an account for speech does not reform player. It discourages them from playing or talking at all. Prevent them from receiving rewards or find some incentive apart from permanently removing them from an account theyve spent days of their life playing on.

I'm perfectly fine with it being their game and there rules. Doesnt stop them from being pussies. Guess the age old sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me has gone completely out the window in 2017. I literally play the game now. Climb my happy ass up to gold on alt accounts and ruin other peoples experiences. My main is still in tact. I just mute everyone on it and play. I can troll all I want on my alts and see no backlash as long as I play even the slightest bit well lol.
Modi4 votesI think many are forgetting why verbal abuse is punished more quickly (not more harshly): only one input is needed to analyze your chat, and that is your chat. Compared to detecting feeding and trolling, it is simple. Because of that fact, punishing based on chat has been automated, meaning a Rioter is not reading all your chat and making the determination.
If and when the system that detects inting and trolling improves, I can guarantee you this board will be filed by them just like how it's currently being filled with people who show negativity in their chat.

Brotha2 votesWords can create a very unwelcoming environment. Riot wants to grow, or at the very least maintain their popularity for many years to come. That means they need to keep their player base active and growing. When I started this game in season 4, every single game was filled with irritating immature players who spent more time talking shit than actually playing the game. Back then I regularly had people die while typing, and then blame me for THEIR death because they were typing. Personally I like a bit of shit talk, but when the edgy kids want to pop off with slurs that they'd never say in public it gets old very quickly. As much as I think it is bullshit I can't tell a rager off, it's worth just knowing they get that immediate 14-day ban for a slur or typing "kys".
As for inters, nothing much to do but report them. As a person who used to int on my smurf (back around the time Riot cracked down) I can tell you the best way to ruin the fun is to not react. Legit makes the entire thing pointless without a reaction.
