So I was banned for 14 days because I said some mean things in chat just because of another person purposefully trying to troll and trigger me. Yes, I definitely deserve some sort of penalty since the things said were not rather nice. But to be quite honest I don't think a ban this long is really that justified.

Vilsh: I pinged Vilsh: boi Vilsh: lol This is where my lane opponent roamed and the support started flaming me for how bad I am. I tried to not sound like a dick by adding the spicy "boi" in there. It didn't work.

Vilsh: muted The Thresh was really getting on my nerves but I unmuted him later in the hopes of him calming down. He did not.

Vilsh: true This is where he called me bad again. :)

Vilsh: lol kys This is completely my immaturity and I should not have said that but this was the moment that the Thresh triggered me really bad. Also there was lots of arguing and spam after this line.

Vilsh: lol Vilsh: wtf u saying And here I lost my mind.

In a nutshell, I believe that I definitely deserve a penalty, but a 14-day long suspension is in my opinion way too harsh.

Suggesting others end their own lives, commit suicide, kill themselves, etc. are all things that it should not need a warning to tell you that it's absolutely inappropriate. Thus, Riot escalates the punishment directly to a 14 day ban, as you should've known better.

Telling another player to commit self-harm is a serious rule violation that defaults to a 14-day suspension minimum.

Riot follows an escalation system. You get pernabanned after 4 strikes unless you violate the "zero tolerance" policy. In which case, you get permabanned after 2 strikes.

I don't agree with the escalation system, but I don't get a say.

It's the shortest ban there is. The only ban besides a permanent one.

You typed kys so everyone on here is gonna just say you deserved it. Don't waste your time with these threads.

That being said, I don't think Riot is that interested in lowering the amount of toxicity. They are only interested in doing what's easy. They clip the weeds instead of pulling them out by their roots. The trolls who actually cause people to rage are never banned, they go on to troll tons of games and incite flame and toxicity exponentially. They need to do something about trolls and people who antagonize others, or else they really aren't serious about stopping toxicity.
