I'm at a weird position right now, I've made countless friends in League for spamming laughs and taunts, Singed and Zed are great examples. Now I recently just got reported by my whole team for spamming the "don't worry- don- don't worry.." on Heimer in aram. Was I wrong..? Doing stuff like this is why I play League, is this a sign to quit..?

Blazing Tenshi2 votesRito only looks at chat logs when banning and not in game actions, so even if spamming taunt was a reportable offense they wouldn't care. So go spam taunt and laugh and intentionally feed until your hearts content as you will never be punished for it and then after the game report everyone yelling at you to stop for verbal abuse.
DJColdCutz2 votesWhile I agree getting banned for intentionally feeding is a much harder accomplishment than is getting banned for toxic language, there is still a report option for "Intentionally Feeding" so I wouldn't risk it while trolling.
I do agree that trolling your team and reporting them for verbally abusing you for it is fun to do though. The only time I have ever gotten the "Successfully punished a player you reported" notification came after I troll picked a double jungle. Never said a word, just took the rage from the team.. We ended up winning, and they even said "wow, the least toxic person on our team was the troll double jungler, he didn't even say anything" and honored me.... Then I reported them all and someone got banned haha...

Care to cite this? I've seen them indicate that it's considered negative, but I've also seen them state (in the same post, no less) that no one's ever been punished for it.
I've you've got evidence to demonstrate otherwise, I'd love to see it.

They've probably never had to punish someone solely for it because the punished player used other toxic dialogue. You've already provided a link that shows emote spamming of all things is punishable, so I don't have any doubt someone could get punished for saying something aggressive like "gg ez."

My point is this: Riot has never stated that it's punishable - in fact, Lyte's gone out of his way to indicate that a) it's never been punished, and b) they've explicitly not said that it's possible to be banned for it.
Given that, I think it's rather misleading to claim that they have "made it clear" that it's punishable. Especially when the only statements I can find are things like this:
I've never seen a player banned for just saying "BG" or "GGEZ."
We're not saying that's even possible, just that those phrases are considered more negative than positive. GGEZ is clearly negative almost all the time, but the system agrees "BG" varies in context but can be misunderstood.

More to the point, having read through the post you linked earlier where Riddler sums up the Code with the golden rule of "Don't be a jerk," it seems clear to me that if something is "clearly negative almost all the time" it's breaking the golden rule. It's my personal opinion that emote spamming is a much grayer area of jerkiness than saying GGEZ, so if you can be punished for emote spamming, it makes sense, explicitly stated or not, that you can be punished for saying GGEZ.

In other words, stating that you are not stating something is explicitly not stating that thing.
Though, that's just me being pedantic. :P

Sure. And, like I said, it's certainly considered negative. But the question is, is it negative enough by itself to break the "punishable" threshold?

I didn't take anything else seriously, by any means. And honestly, my posts haven't really been for your benefit, but rather for that of others who may go through the conversation. My intent was merely to provide clarification and prevent any misunderstandings due to a misleading statement.

I've seen this case emote spamming case before. And he fails the test. He was being a jerk.
You can see in his matches that other players ask him to stop. They even do so nicely at some points. But this player doesn't care. He doesn't care because he's being a jerk.
Is he using a feature of our game which has many legitimate purposes? Of course!
But is he abusing this legitimate feature to be a jerk? Yes. He is literally spamming the same phrase throughout the entire duration of the game.
Could other players fiddle with their sound settings to disable this? Sure.
Should we expect other players to adjust their player experience because a jerk is harassing them?
No. Never.

Korillo2 votesIt's pretty annoying and you can't mute champion emotes. If they ask you to stop and you continue anyway then yes it's wrong.

Not only because it's obnoxious, but also glitched. It can't be muted via muting the player, same with Nasus and a few others. It's stupid annoying and I usually tell people to knock it off. They usually don't listen to me and/or get fussy with me for finding it annoying. I didn't even know it was reportable.
