After two years of playing this game...

One of my reports **FINALLY ** came through, and a toxic player has been punished for - well - being toxic. I rarely report people anymore, but when I do, you would really have to deserve it and finally, after two full years, one of my reports has been acknowledged and I have finally received one of those mythic notifications telling you that your report has duly been acknowledged. I have never been more satisfied and happy in my entire life, and I just have to take a moment to appreciate this. It is so satisfying to see a toxic player finally get what they deserve, especially in my current ELO. Regardless, I would provide an image, but just as I was writing this post, I was prompted to join a queue and immediately lost the notification. Regardless, I am pretty satisfied and happy with what just occurred. This made my weekend significantly better, and it hasn't even started yet. [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Just so u know, you don't get that notification when your report is acknowledged. You only get it if your report is the one that got them punished. All your reports are adding up on people, they aren't ignored.

I got 3 of them and I only started playing a month ago.

That's how much this playerbase must have changed.

Agreed. I feel like ever since that whole Tyler1 fiasco, Riot has been strapping down on the toxicity within this community, and I am very happy about it, truth be told. There is nothing more demoralizing than to come home from work/school and have to deal with some guy cursing at you for various reasons. It's one thing to criticize someone for their mechanical skill and lack of cooperation, but it's another to insult them, berate them, and harass them all game.

Tbh, my issue with the community isn't even that it's toxic. A lot of the toxic people actually have a reason to be toxic. This game, sometimes, can really be annoying. Last week, for the first time since I started playing this game(started in s1) I had a series of games where one of my teammates consistently went 0-10. I ended up going on a 5-6 game losing streak because of it. Did I start to get a bit toxic? You're damn right, but who wouldn't? One person can only handle being demoted and screwed so much before they lash out.

Well yes the root of all the toxicity is from the frustration of the game itself. And well if league makes you mad all the time you shouldn't be playing it. The game probably has millions of people who really shouldn't play league and don't really enjoy it but they do because its kind of addictive also some people drag theirs friends into it, even if they don't like it

^ I agree completely. I'm not going to point fingers and say that League of Legends is a bad game, but it can be quite frustrating at times - stressful, even. Some people deal with this stress better than others, however. Regardless, I can understand why people are toxic, but that doesn't mean that they should make it their every effort to try to ruin someone's day just because of petty mistakes or small errors.

wrong I cant stress how much my friend liked this game

it has nothing to do with the "toxic" player and everything to do with decisions made by riot that ultimately supported trolls

my friend quit two years ago so over the last three years until just recently riot refused to admit they ban for swearing

ive seen my friend type and talk to him regularly he has a sailors mouth text is to mono tone for riots policies

also it should be noted that riot made a typical mistake they failed to protect the players and give them a legit outlit

now don't come back telling us that you are mad because of smurfs.

those banned players come back with a new account and then I see players mad about too many smurfs.

maybe if you just muted them in the first place?

In my ELO? I doubt it. A Bronze smurf isn't any better than an actual Bronze player. And besides. Who said anything about a ban? The guy probably merely got a chat restriction.

Silver V. The guy I reported was Bronze I. Even if he were to make a smurf account, it wouldn't make much of a difference.

your point of view: it wont make a difference since he will be a bronze smurf (AT THE TIME, you were the only one who knew he was bronze)

my point of view: considering he was like mid gold or higher, him making a smurf WILL make a difference.

Ummmmm. Are we talking about the same player? Because the guy that I reported was/is Bronze I. I don't play with Gold tier players very often. My MMR is admittedly low. In Normals, at least. (I rarely play Ranked.)

I honestly don't understand what you're talking about at this point. From my point of view, another toxic Bronze player got punished for being toxic. I failed to iterate that it wasn't just my sole report, and that most of the lobby reported him. You have a different point of view, but you have failed to clearly state what you're talking about. I admit that I'm confused, but it's primarily because you haven't clearly stated what you're talking about. If you could actually enunciate what you're saying, I would probably be able to see what you're talking about. Do you mind - I don't know - explaining what your point of view is before berating me for doing something that is my right to do?

i had some tell a friend to cut his wrist and let his parents watch then said for him to drink bleach he never got punished and he claims hed acted this way for 5 years posted somthing on here and they told me to use the report system lol @ riot
