Game 1: I was being rude to the jungler, but I had done nothing that was severe, calling someone worthless after they come to gank and troll me by not doing much damage to the mid would be expected. Also, when I said I would feed, it was because they were calling me a troll, if the game data was pulled up, you would see that I was actually trying to win the game. The only other thing I said was calling my team bad at the end. Also, whenever I swore, it wasn't directed towards anyone, and overall the match was a bad match for me. Overall, this match was bad for me, but I don't think I was being toxic.

Game 2: In the beginning of the game, I was being nice, but when they started feeding, I got negative. They could have done things that would have helped them win, but they constantly started fights they were going to lose. They also used the excuse "it's normals", and that's why I said that doesn't mean you can fail. In this game, I swore as well, but swearing is okay as long as you're not directing it towards someone.

Game 3: I was being nice to my teammates, and when the mid started doing bad, I tried to give her tips, until I was able to help her. She did not follow these tips, though, she kept doing what she was doing, and she fed Leblanc when I told her I could help if she didn't. They also started saying things like Syndra is doing better than you, and calling me a troll. I also said Syndra shouldn't be allowed to play. You can tell I was still trying to win the game by telling my team strategy to win.

Overall, I don't think that this should be a ban, the last time I got banned, it was because I called someone autistic and fed, and I didn't do any of that on these 3 games. In all of these games, I got a negative attitude from something that happened prior. (1:Autolocking/Trolling, 2:Feeding, 3:Feeding). You can tell be looking in games 2 and 3, where I was positive towards my teammates, and actually tried to help them by giving them tips. Also, I think that anyone would get a negative attitude when a teammate feeds and you get dominated by enemies because of someone else feeding them. Thank you for reading this ban appeal, and I hope that you will consider all sides of this ban.

Edit: After looking through responses, I want to say that this should not be excused, looking through this again, I let my negative self talk in chat and I said some very rude things, but I did not think this would get me banned. I misunderstood what the meaning of toxic was and I was basing it off of my last ban. I thought that toxic was swearing and telling my teammates to go kill themselves, but I was wrong, and I understand that now. I don't expect to be unbanned and just start playing again, but I think that I deserve a second chance after a 2 week ban or even a chat restriction, because I'm sure after learning what toxic means and what can get you banned, I am sure I could become a lot nicer to people in the League Community

Asking to mass report a player or threatening them with reports is harassment and not tolerated. The report system is there so you can help clean up the community, not coerce or abuse other players, so please do not do it.

From what you are saying, you are like this frequently. Punishment is usually the result of a long history of negative behavior, going through 4 steps up punishment. If you skipped punishment tiers it's probably because of the hate speed and death threats you were repeating. If you want to contest your ban over the system being triggered by that, use a Support Ticket.

Riot might possibly lower the punishment to a 14 day (possibly), but you'll still get punished. This level of negative behavior is far and away not acceptable, and you are only causing more problems for other players. If you have a problem with what they are saying, just mute them.

I know what I was saying was not allowed, but what you're saying is incorrect, in these games, other people said that they should mass report me, so why weren't they banned? Also, I have even talked to riot saying that I wanted a chat restriction to improve, but they just responded with an automated response. There are tons of people who can get negative ingame, and if it happens to me because teammates do things wrong, I don't think it is my fault.

Punishment happens in tiers, and is a result of many games of negative behavior except where the offenses are severe enough to warrant escalating multiple steps. If someone else was doing the same thing and did not receive as harsh (or any) punishment, it's probably because you do it way more often than them.

I don't think it is my fault

You can't control what the other players do, you can only control your own actions, and you're expected to do so. If a 14 day ban and threat of permaban is not enough to keep you from creating or perpetuating a negative experience for all the other players, Riot has no choice but to permaban you.

I do know that I need to do this now, but I don't think that only having 2 chances till a permanent ban would be the right thing to do. Even if I had a warning, which is what I thought they would do, I would have been able to improve my attitude. If you look at the situation from my perspective, you would see that I was just doing what I thought wasn't bannable, learning about it now will help if I continue to play, but I thought a permanent ban was only going to happen if I went into multiple games and fed, swore, made death threats, all at the same time.

You deserve everything you got. Riot specifically states that retaliation to other players being toxic is no excuse for you being toxic.

Just like I said in a lot of other replies, I no longer think I shouldn't be punished, when I was doing what I was doing, I didn't think it was against the rules, I thought that being rude when my teammates were feeding was okay, and I thought that toxicity was only swearing at teammates. I didn't have a chance to learn that because my first ban skipped tiers, but now that I do know, I am sure I can improve on it and I think that I deserve a second chance to fix the mistake I made

That it what happened to me, my first punishment was a 2 week ban, and this one was permanent, I'll tell you what I told a lot of other people in this thread, I know that I should be punished, but I don't think it should be a permanent ban.

My first ban skipped to the 2 week ban, which I was fine with after I was unbanned, and I made sure to never call people what I called to get banned that time. My knowledge of what would get me banned was limited to experience from the 2 week one. If I didn't have enough warnings, how would I even learn? I didn't even get a warning, which I thought you would get before you got a permanent ban. I knew that what I was doing wasn't the best way I could have handled things that I experienced ingame, but I didn't think that they would get me banned. If I only had 2 chances to know what would get me banned, why should I lose all chances to improve and be forced to buy another account and start over?

But you broke some rules. You were toxic, toxic isn't only intense swearing. It's calling people worthless, threatening to feed. You also asked people to report. You can't do that. If you have an issue you report but you can't rally others. That's harassment.

You need to report it. It has to happen more than once. Riot will never ban on one occasion. You were reported multiple times in the past and you are a repeated offender. People always do it, but only the repeated offenders will be permanently banned. Otherwise it's based off of past performance or severity of the game.

OVERALL

Overall, I don't think that this should be a ban, the last time I got banned, it was because

Severity of offense only determines severity of punishment in the case of hate speech and racial slurs, ect. Otherwise it follows linear tiers based on number of times punished.

Tier 1 - 10 game chat ban Tier 2 - 25 game chat ban Tier 3 - 14 day full ban Tier 4 - perma

Example: If your last punishment was a 25 game chat ban, then the next time you are punished it will be the 14 day full ban regardless of how bad you were. (outside of hate speech, ect)

Again, this is not relevant. You and you alone are responsible for what you say and do in match. You are judged for your actions, and no one else's.

I am not saying what I did should be excused, I know I messed up after looking through my chat, but I don't think that I should be perma-banned. People say that bans tiers can change with the severity of the offense, and in my opinion, this would be one of the lowest tiers. This would be having a negative attitude, which is my fault for letting things happening ingame make me play worse, I know I do deserve to be punished for this, but I don't think that this is severe enough to be a perma-ban.

You are misunderstanding what people mean when they say this.

Ban Tiers only change when the offense is extreme. Hate speech, racial slurs, or standard toxicity that is spammed to the extreme, all cause you to skip UP the tiers.

There is no such thing as the tier lowering based on severity of offense.

You can skip to higher punishments faster with severity. Anything that is considered punishable will lead to a permanent ban if you get punished for it 4 times though. The key in cases like yours is the failure to change after repeated lesser punishments rather than the severity.

I know that now but I think I deserve a second chance (edited my original post). I did not know exactly what toxicity really was, and if I knew, I would have acted a lot better to other people.

Its good that you have learned and can now move on from this experience, but the whole point of a permanent ban is that it is permanent.

Your second chance is to make a new account and take what you've learned with you into that new account.

Although I do agree with what you are saying, I don't think that a permanent ban is the best way to learn things, from my first 2 week ban, I learned that I need to stop swearing in chat to my other members, and stop insulting them by using inappropriate words. I didn't get any warning, but I think I deserved the ban now. Giving me another chance was nice of Riot, but if I only changed my behavior to not be banned like that again, it wouldn't have solved anything, because I thought that telling other people to report someone was allowed, and I didn't think telling my team to stop feeding wasn't a bannable offense. Getting a permanent ban from following the rules I learned on the first, would be a way to learn, but wouldn't be the best way and should be considered harsh, as this is only my second offense.

P.S. Before anyone posts that some offenses can skip tiers, I already know that.

Your initial response in this thread and your thoughts on what is acceptable, make me curious exactly how you learned what you did from your previous ban. Was it purely from forum members telling you what was wrong? Did you read the F.A.Q. ?

Did you further study the rules, or did you just take what was told to you and assume that was the full extent of what was acceptable?

My first ban skipped tiers, so I assumed it was the worst thing I could possibly do, because I don't think Riot would ever skip to a permanence ban. So I made sure to never do what I did in that ban. I told myself I would never swear to another member in the game and I would try my hardest to never let things ingame make me call them other very offensive things. That is what I did, but as I played more, I started calling people feeders, which I thought was okay, because people are always saying that inchat and making videos to report it. As I ran into these people more, I got a more overall negative feeling towards the game, but I always made sure to keep my promise of never saying very offensive words, and if I do get another chance, I will always make sure I do that, and with this knowledge of the rules, I will improve upon this mistake as well.

Sorry, but you already had at least a second chance. Your 14 day ban should have had a final warning with it as well.

Why should riot ban on something that you don't fully understand on? I don't think that there should be a ban tier list for each punishable offense, but if I didn't know what toxic even meant, how would I even be able to avoid it? I know that what I said was still wrong after I re-read it and listened to what people put in replies, but someone who has skipped tiers would not know what toxicity really is, and since banning is the way you really learn what you can and can't do in a game, I just never got the chance to learn

The fact that you put in the colorful word for gay in your first chat log is enough to get you raised to a 14 day ban on its own. I didn't even bother looking at the other ones, I just skimmed them over- And you more than deserved this ban. Being negative to your team constantly will get you banned.

As the old saying goes, If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Like Pojalsta said, toxic isn't just swearing. Toxic is also what you did in most of those game. You were harassing people which doesn't solve the problem that you were having with them. Harassing people like that just makes them place worse. Instead try to help them but just be a civil human being. Shit happens, people have bad games. I do. Even you do. That doesn't mean that they deserve to be belittled like that.

If this is your first warning, yes a full ban is a little harsh. If it's not your first warning then you deserve it.

When I get into a mood were I want to start yelling at people in chat I just shrink my chat down and depend on pings. Helps till I can get out of my funk.

Game 3 Flaming syndra really bad this game calling her a feeder ect ect. More threats to report someone for not even doing anything wrong.

Overall Good luck on getting that unban because you really need it!! LOL My best advice is make a new account and correct you're attitude. Also saying something like "insert homophobic slur here" is not at all ok don't say it and don't even quote that stuff because it will lead to a ban as it did here.

I don't know what you mean? I realize me making insults do the jungler, but when was I making homophobic slurs and death threats? I said toxic would be "Text", the quotes were there when I put it in chat, I made no changes to it.

To my knowledge, swearing is allowed, as long as it's not directed towards someone. If I could pull up the game data where I called them feeders, you would see what they were actually doing, but I'm not going to let that excuse the stuff I said. You also said to stop threatening with reports, but that is the only way I really know how to make someone stop doing something, for example, if a hacker is using scripts or abusing exploits, you can threaten to report them, which usually makes them stop.

In the 3rd game, iirc, she was 4/7, not listening to tips so I could help her late game, she did improve, which made me stop talking, until the enemy team kept saying things like "nothing to say now?" which made me keep going in chat, and again, I'm not going to blame them, it was my choice to say it, and I realize that now.

By the way, I never used a homophobic slur towards anyone in the game, I don't know where you are getting that from.

This right here if you didn't know what I mean and using quotes or quoting something is not gonna help your case. Also using "%%%got" does not give you an excuse to excessively curse. I'm sure you see the tip bar in the loading screen saying just that. Is there any other questions you may have?

I did not ever say that to Jax, nor was I ever going to. I said this when they said report me for being toxic, and at the time, I didn't think what I was doing would be considered toxic.

It was that fact that you said that in you're chat log. You need to be careful of what you say even if its in quotes because the system picks up on that as a death threat and adds a homophobic slur to the list aswell.
