** UPDATE** So it turns out my account was actually hacked, by what appeared to be some Korean kid that somehow got ahold of my login information probably through Windows 10's crappy wifi security. I've since tightened up a lot of things, changed my password, and await Riot to implement a 2-step verification for logging in so this crap doesn't happen again. Riot unbanned me, which is nice. I am just hopeful they add additional security measures before this kind of thing has a chance to happen again!

I stopped streaming League earlier today and went to stream another game with some friends. When I ended my stream, I went back to League to play with some other friends off-stream to find I had been permanently banned for 'use of third party programs otherwise known as "scripting".' Not only is this basically a JOKE (I am bronze 2 right now man you think I'd be higher if I was scripting) but I also have VoD proof on Twitch (Look up SebTheMally ) that I was definitely playing on my own today, and the last time I was playing, and the time before that. I generally don't play league unless I'm streaming these days.

I just wanna put it out there that Riot's programs that they use to detect cheating is so horribly flawed it just banned an entirely innocent person likely because it saw Streamlabs OBS and went 'nope that's a bad program' when it's what I use to stream and it doesn't have ANY widgets that give me, as their 3rd party compliance page states;

"Exposing information that’s intentionally obfuscated (cooldowns or timers) Taking actions on your behalf (botting or scripting) Drawing conclusions for you (predicting enemy positions) Altering your field of intelligence (zoomhacks or global ult alerts)"

and there's a section where they say punishments get more severe the more often you are caught doing it and a permanent ban is for "continued blatant use" and hoo boy trust me I miss way more skillshots than I hit I am not scripting in any capacity.

I'll update this if/when I get unbanned but believe me there's gonna be a lot of very vocal hate towards Riot if I don't get unbanned just because I wanted to stream my fucking game. SRO uses streamlabs obs and he doesn't get goddamn banned and he uses like 9 accounts to play in silver when he's challenger. >:T

OBS and/or other streaming programs have no affect against league though, I've used it and know many others that have and they don't have problems. So either something else was indeed being used, or it wasn't you playing and someone else used something. I'm a bit iffy here reading this part of your post saying you're account is "bronze 2" but when looking it up it's Bronze 1.

All in all though there's not much we can do here, all that can be done is to wait for Riot.

OK WOAH HANG ON yeah someone hacked my account there are three games on my account that I did NOT play. My last game was 3v3 bots as Xayah with dark harvest (Kappa) there are three ranked matches played after that which were NOT ME. I am gonna change my password and hope to fucking god Riot unbans me because I got hacked...

I feel like if it's clear the person playing on the account is far away enough then it should easily be reverted. I mean who plays in california, and then an hour later logs in in hong kong.

if that's the case, there should be more than one method of securing your account, if being hacked is a bannable offence. That's sort of wild, I mean I've played for nearly seven years, and spent over 1200 dollars on this game, and if some jerk in russia decides to take my account I could lose it forever? How am I suppose to deal with that on my own, when nothing other than a password protects it.

same here. i streamed on twitch through obs streamlabs and then went camping. get back on after four days completely offline and boom perma-ban. third-party scripting is the reason but i honestly suck at it so far, still was attempting to get better. haha right? good luck to anyone else with this problem.. praying for riot to get their cheat/hack detecting systems together and correctly identifying things going on. truth be told they are probably missing quite a few actual cheaters/hackers while they're catching us streamers(me an almost complete newb again)
