Leaver Buster due to failed PC

So recently my last 2 games I was forced to shut down my PC due to it completely freezing up and making a buzzing sound. My first game that I joined it Immediately froze when going to buy starting items and i was forced to due a hard shut down. I didnt think anything of it just thought that it just might of been a glitched so I just decided to not to log back in and yadda yadda. Later on that day when i got back online for my second game about 10 minutes in, my pc, yet again completely freezes up forcing me to do a hard shut down. Now because i had hardwear failure that forced me out of those games (which mind you its a lvl 15 non ranked match) i now have a leaver buster for the first time. If there was like an administrator or support that i could speak with about this would be great. Have yet to figure out what the problem is with my PC (maybe ram or gpu is done) but have switched to a different PC for the time being and can assure this will not happen again.

Sadly, they do not remove LeaverBuster punishments that are issued due to hardware problems on your end. Regardless of the reason, you’re responsible for ensuring your hardware is functioning properly - even if you don’t check it regularly or have no clue it is failing. Considering you knew you were having hardware issues, and “didn’t think anything of it”, but still went into another game before discovering and fixed the problem, the second one was certainly your fault. Generally speaking, the best thing to do when you have an issue entering/during a game is to play custom games to try and diagnose the problem.

Regardless of the reason for the leave, the game was still ruined for 9 other people each time.

Well when i said " I didn't think anything of it" i really didn't. That was the first time that ever had happened to me and just thought it was a glitch. I never joined that second game right away, this was much later on. When it had happened for the second time i definitely knew there was a problem on my end, and for the sake of everyone else didnt join another match that day.

Speak to support asking them how you can fix your pc issue. The leaverbuster will stay however due to the fact you technically deserted two games in a row. Hopefully you work out the problem asap

Thanks, the pc is old anyways need an upgrade. Checked drivers and made sure they are all updated. Really just think its a gpu or ram messing up, or overheating.

For future reference, your computer randomly shutting off is usually indicative of a larger issue. If it was a bug splat pop up I could understand starting a new game, but if my computer randomly shut off I’d want to know what was up before I possibly do more damage to it and/or whatever glitch is happening gets worse.

I understand that it sucks having to do a LPQ for unintentional leaves, but keep in mind that you (most likely) are only being asked to wait a few minutes for each of your next 5 games. At most you’ll be waiting 20 minutes per game (i.e. 100 minutes total). If you take the fact that every other player had to waste about 10 minutes before they could even remake, and many more minutes if they didn’t remake, you’re just being asked basically to make up the human-hours that were lost because of your leaves.

you don't get leaver buster games for leaving just 2 games in a row.

There has to be some other history of it.

besides, The leave buster serves as a cool down period to fix your stuff first.

Actually, LeaverBuster has been known to issue punishments for two games in a row - it’s considered evidence of a problem and/or someone intentionally leaving games.

That is especially true if OP had already previously had their “I Agree” warning.
